Honest Opinion About the NBOMe's

Migrated topic.
Yeah, here too. being stupid with something like psilocybin is one thing, but a mis dose on this stiff can kill ya kids. I'm all for mature, responsible experimentation, bio assays, and analysis of novel psychedelic s substances, but like an earlier poster related about the cocaine/nbome freakout, these spirit scare me. We need to bring therapeutic use of psychedelics to the public and it won't happen if kids keep dying.

Definitely one to be careful with. Thought i had permanently done lower leg damage after a binge. I could barely walk for 50 metres for a couple of days. At lower doeses i like 25-i the best out the ones ive tried.

I agree with all that.

The way they are being distributed atm (wont get specific at all, just general commonalities), is no up front warnings about how dangerous nbomes are compared to other psychs, physically, which you see very little of in the tried and true classics. This information lacking, and the impersonal way in which its sold, leaves plenty of room for unprepared/responsible hands to get a hold of the stuff, and that's prob the reason you get these issues unfortunately, IMHO. :|

Coupled for their ability to be the least confrontational psychs, (at lower doses, relative to something that isn't as cushy/recreational like the classics seem to be), ends up with people getting a false sense of security about them, not realizing the physical danger, and dose irresponsibly high. Thinking its just going to be a better version of what they got at a lower dose.

Not a trip to the emergency room, or worse. In terms of what can go wrong PHYSICALLY. In simpler terms, the tried and true (lsd, dmt, psilo, aya, cactus, etc) wont do that unless you take a a ridiculous overdose. But they are far from recreational at large doses imho, unlike the nbomes.

See the problem?

Just some ideas i have about why people die from rcs, when deaths from the classicals are much rarer. Not talking psychological stuff, suicide, psychotic violence, etc. Just that you could die simply from a large (but not ridiculous) dose of a psych that leaves a false impression of light physically/mentally, when in fact that holds true for high doses as well with nbomes. The crazy stuff just like you get from most of the other psychological psychadelic induced breakdowns over the decades.

And the people using them, i wont speculate on how educated they are/research what they take, but possibly if the distribution allowed for these type of people to easily acquire them, its a recipe for disaster.

I'm somewhat sad about the situation with these substances... in another world or time I think they could be wonderful tools. They have a real potential good to them, I feel, in a therapeutic setting. Almost every trip I have had with this family has been extremely therapeutic - all very interpersonal stuff, nothing "spiritual' really, but quite healing. It helped me work through pain I've held since I was a child, and it was real work that stuck with me. Their clarity is unique, no muddy-mindedness for me anyway. I found the visuals impressive, though not completely astounding like a mescaline or DMT.
But it's still worrying, it's potency is just so high that only really smart people should use it... or prepare it... but this isn't the way it is. Because of its ability to fit on a blotter, it is sold as LSD or "doses".... and people OD... it's a shame and I wish people would be honest and I wish people would do research. These potentially beneficial substances will likely be illegal before too long.

My experience:

25-C: Tried two different batches from 2 different places. Much too much stimulation and vasoconstriction with little trippy effect until higher doses, at which point the physical effects became hard to bear. State of mind feels confident and lucid. Needed to take a hot shower both times I used it.

25-I: Similar to 25-C with less of the vasoconstriction (still too much for me) and slightly more trippy effect, nothing to rave about. Still confident and lucid as before, possibly slightly more.

Both compounds caused swelling in my lower legs and feet which I believe to be because of the restriction of blood vessels and elevated pulse. A sort of tight feeling in my body. This has discouraged me from taking the 25-B. Searching has revealed to me that many people have this problem. Many (most?) people don't seem to have this issue but I would bet that many people could run into some serious cardiovascular problems on these compounds.

I think the reality is that these substances will be most widely used as fake acid, making it harder to give the compound its own merit. Still, give me a proportionate dose of acid over this any day.

Have tried 25-C - Basically visually similar to their younger 2C siblings but overall more side-effects. Basically all the side effect already mentioned by others. The older 2c-e, 2c-i, etc are much cleaner feeling and more full. There's a very hollow sort of feeling from the 25-C. That's my 2-Cents.

After trying 25I-Nbome for a second time last night at approx. 400-500mics taken over the course of 2 hours basically about 170-200 Mics taken waited a half an hour another 100-133mics then another hour time taking another 100-133mics dropped onto a coffee filter as a ghetto blotter stuck under my lip without swallowing any saliva for a half an hour at a time until each redosing. I can say I doubt I will EVER take anything labeled as nbome again it was extremely stimulating, overly so I felt like I had a 10,000 watt voltage coord shoved up my ass and needed to run laps, had restless leg syndrome barely any visuals, and just general malaise was felt in my head and my body. Especially discontenting was the vasoconstriction I felt which showed its ugly head as a tingly sensation in my fingers, I thought I had felt it with LSA but nothing I've felt has compared to nbome when it comes to that. I give this chem a definite thumbs down on my opinion, some may love it, but for someone who's usually a hard head to stimulants and requiring a higher dose then most for desired effects the 25I effects were so overly stimulating that any minor visuals I felt at this dose were NOT WORTH THE anxiety and restless leg syndrome, vasoconstriction. etc. I strongly STRONGLY suggest huge amounts of research being put into any use of this chem and even just avoiding it entirely. As I said this is my opinion but I definitely see where this stuff can be fatal at a higher dose, my heart didn't feel like it was going to explode admittedly, no nothing like that but it was definitely a huge body load and extremely uncomfortable feeling for about 4 hours after the first alerts. I owe a huge thanks to those who listened to me ramble on in the nexus chat while over stimulated, including special shout outs to mustelid, and voidtraveler, especially for just enduring my need to continuously type and ask questions they probably didn't know or didn't feel comfortable answering and anyone else involved as well, again this is all my opinion but I HIGHLY suggest avoiding the Nbome series! I never got a chance to try the original 2c-Xs but if they are anything like what I experienced on 25I I am glad.

Is there anything that can be taken, either pharmaceutically or homeopathically, that can lessen the negative effects of vasoconstriction?

These reports are bumming me out but still want to give it a whirl. I would only do blotters that are somewhat from a reputable source, and VERY little.

There's an upcoming opportunity to try some 600ug 25I and 600ug 25C combos. I may not even start with a whole one. Will be playing it cool the whole way and will try and ensure the safety and sanity of folks around me. If ANYONE tries to take two or more I'm just gonna leave.

LSD is just so rare and expensive nowadays.

Taken twice now. Kinda sinister/black-comedic/reality-check feel. Also psychedelic auditory hallucinations of a electronic music nature. The first I've had in ages. It was 25C-NBOME. I will probably do it again though.

Tried a 300 ug, non-complexed blotter of 25-C-nBOME once and it was a nice, low dose feel of something that could be interesting. However, the reports of deaths all over have spooked me from trying anything more thus far. There was a recent erowid report from a fellow who's younger brother died dosing two blotters (no ug. or mg. dosage given, but reportedly from the same batch that both the reporter and the brother had taken larger doses of previously without serious health issues) and dying of a heart attack at a young age. The report makes it sound like he may have choked on his own vomit and more though.

The duration on 25-C and I are both positives for the hallucinogenic effect they give, the mortality risk is just a bit too much. These are way beyond the classic 2C-X compounds when it comes to the risk/benefit analysis on the risk side of the equation, imho.
