How do you maximise the life of your coils and vape juice?

Hey, does anyone here use a Vaporesso?

Actually, my question probably holds relevance across vaping more generally.

Basically, I want to find out how to maximise the life/use of coils and vape juice.

To my knowledge, coils are not supposed to sit idle with juice soaking in them for long periods without being used. This would mean using it at least once every day for a few blasts, and even then it's not ideal to leave it for 23 hours.

I mean, I can probably live with "having to" blast some DMT juice every day 😉 but does anyone have more experience with vaping that can share advice or strategy as to how to use it?

Coils are like 2 pounds each, so they don't exactly break the bank, but it would still be better to nail down a strategy.

  • Is it reasonable to expect that you might set out to run a gram of DMT juice per coil? (in, say, 3 or 4ml), and then ditch it?
  • Do you get more/longer out of your coils?
  • Do you leave them sitting with DMT juice in them without using it for longer than 24 hours?
I would love to hear how you use yours 😄

I have since figured out what I believe to be an effective way to keep coils in a usable condition for as long as possible.

Simply take a few puffs throughout the day to clear out the coil a bit from the juice that is soaked in it, or at least ensure it doesn't become flooded.

So let's say, a one second puff at about midday, and another at about 6 or 7pm. Taking those two quick, one-second puffs a day is the perfect way to "maintenance vape" the device + coil rather than taking it upon yourself to completely blast off daily, as cool as that sounds in theory.

The juice mix I have is potent AF, last night I took a 4 second blast and reality got NUKED, it was the most insane trip I've had in ages, so these one second hits, twice a day, are going to be pretty strong microdoses.

IN FACT, I will probably turn this into an experiment - microdose DMT twice a day for a month.

For science, of course.

Why wouldn't they ? I do it for years, sometimes the tank idles for weeks if not months. Unless you meant storing the coil out of the tank, but why would one do this ? Maybe in the case you use the same tank for nicotine vape and DMT vape, in this case I'd advise having a dedicated tank for each use.

Yes, that's what I usually do. I use to change the coil every gram, even when most of the time it's not needed. Ï prefer to have a new coil when I start a new gram because they are cheap and it's better to start new with the coil rather than having to change it at the middle of the gram.

You can definitely have longer life, depending on your settings. Too high in power/temp, and they will not last long. That's why I prefer to make concentrated juice and use low power, if you don't overheat, coils can last quite long. Not to mention aerosol is much more smooth with this approach.

Extremely noob question, but how do you know it's time to change your coil? Based on what I'm reading it has probably been time to change mine for a while. How can one tell?
I'd say, to me, first indicator is taste. Second would be harshness of aerosol. Third would be decrease in effects intensity because of loss of aerosolization efficiency. If you don't experience any of these, coil is still ok. As I said, I tend to change it frequently, long before these flaws occur. But that's just me liking to have a perfect vape with no nasty taste, because I share a lot. I can afford 2 bucks for each new coil so I think it's worth the anticipation. In the past I had as well passed several grams of DMT with the same coil but now I'm older I become more provident 😁

Ah, to be honest, that's just what the robots told me. They said coils are not designed to sit idle with juice in them unused, and it kind of made sense but it's better to hear that in your lived experience it has not been the case 👏

No, I don't smoke nicotine, this is a dedicated deem vape.

I like the idea of this too. For the sake of £2 it's worth it for the quality of experience, especially when we get to make our deem for £17/18 a gram (I'm new to extracting it, but I have found a nice recipe that creates potent gear, so I'm never buying it off a source for 50 quid a gram again).
