How much solvent do i need?

Hi, I do not want to waste big amounts of solvent so im wondering how much do you really need?
I have he 500g bark solution and 600ml of naptha, is 100ml for 5x extractions good enough?

I assume you mean 5 pulls when you say 5x extractions? Yes 600 ml is plenty especially if you freeze precip and re use your solvent.

When I process a kilo of bark I break it up into 4, 250g into 4 lg jars and use 100ml per jar per pull and re use the solvent till the end then do a full evap on all the solvent combined for jungle spice.

some gets absorbed into the solution so I guess I use about 500-600 ml total to extarct 1 kilo of bark.

nice that it works with the amount. I mean 5 pulls of course, i dont know if I can do freeze but maybe I come up with some method... I have some baking dish but its made out of aluminium...
i have also something made out of stainless steel?

If you are not able to freeze precip and re use solvent than take time in pulling to ensure saturation. I would let each pull after the first sit for a good while. By the 3rd pull I leave the solvent in the jars for up to a week turning them as many times as possible each day. My 4th and 5th pull for weeks. I get a solid 1.2% yield this way but it takes about 3 weeks to a month.

I would either take your time in this extraction or get more naptha.

Do not use aluminum. SS is ok but glass is better.
