How often can you dose a day?

New to this. Haven’t tried it yet. I’ve extracted it, all is ready, and I’ve planned a time and place with trusted friends. However, until then I’m trying to learn as much as I can.

On any other psychedelic I’m familiar with, the onset and duration are such that you only dose it one time.

But with this the onset and duration are so short, it begs the question does anybody come out and go right back in?

I guess it can be tough to get a breakthrough dose at first until you figure it out. Is it possible to say, "gimme about an hour, and we wil try again!"
Or is the experience make you need to wait longer in between? These questions will probably answer themselves when I try it, but for now I’m curious.

If anyone can provide any insight on this I really appreciate your time.

Thanks.

The reason behind why I created this thread is I’m curious if it would be possible to really go for the breakthrough. I’ve read some say take it slow, and others say you absolutely want to breakthrough your first time when it’s completely new to you for then most….. let’s say…. rich experience.

Sometimes it’s a character flaw, but sitting here with NO experience, my gut says says go for broke. As I mentioned earlier, these questions wil probably be answered for me when I try it, and I hope that doesn’t mean I’m wasting anyone’s time on the asking them anyway. If so, please tell me. I’ll turn my ears on and my mouth(or typing fingers, rather) off.
I’m excited, nervous, and the anticipation is palpable.

I’m trying my best to go about this in a healthy and respectful way in a never ending journey of self discovery. I am so thankful for this resource and the people who have put their time and effort into compiling this database for other like myself. Not all heros wear capes.

So if I don’t achieve breakthrough the first time, my question is:

Is it "recommended practice" to chalk it up to first time blues and try again tomorrow, or can you try try again as soon as you’re ready? Will you be ready??

Well it’s about perspective, I would say that it’s not necessarily wrong to try for a breakthrough even on the first try. I have met people that did this and they were happy with the experience. Others were bit more comfortable with a slower paced approach, and ended up with a good experience as well. I would say that the slower approach is a bit less prone to incite panic or difficulty so easing into the experience and slowly flowing into the place is probably preferable.

Since there is already some tension and stress involved ( it’s very normal, don’t worry about it) I would recommend to start slowly. A good schedule for first timers and something I like to do when introducing someone is to start with a low dose of 5 mg. It gives you some feeling of the timing and general vibe of dmt, then when positive feedback is received I prepare a 15 mg dose, this is a good dose to get a feel for the intensity of dmt. Then when you’re up for it you can go for a 20 mg dose, this when vaporized properly will lead to a breakthrough in most. If not you could go a little bit higher but don’t go over 25 mg, rather work a bit on the technique of vaping.

My advice would then to take a break and see how you feel about the experience the next couple of days. Remember dmt will always be there and you can dive in whenever you’re feeling the pull.

I wish you a great experience and let us know how it goes.
Take care

You'll want to make sure to take care of your hyperspace vehicle in between sessions I've noticed you can go for it as frequent as you want but you will begin to feel worn out and your neurotransmitters depleted and at that point it's good to get some rest and eat before taking off again.

I like what varallo says here because I feel I am someone who went from thinking you could only approach this by taking deep dives with macro doses but over the course of this last year with the lower dose territory I have began to find out that working in the shallow waters has been incredibly therapeutic and that most of the dosage is honestly coming from the reflection of where you are currently at and how open you are to receiving yourself.

For example when I am really deep in breath work and meditation before I launch I have had 8mg carry me to the same place that 30mg has before and that got me to raising further questions around the lockout phenomenon and the dosaging. I have also noticed in recent sessions when focusing on the breath and lower doses breathing into the intensity I am finding confirmation through these practices and shared experiences that the lower doses tend to be heavily overlooked.

It feels like the DMT is like a tuning device for the mind when you begin to start to practice with lower doses and what you can begin to control with your body and what DMT reveals to you about the power of your physical actions like breath or stretching, voice, dance, art, food, etc. I notice a lot of the psychedelic community myself included is very focused on ignoring their humanity and almost rejecting it where as I feel the low doses help us ground a lot of that experience.

It is interesting because as time has gone on I find myself now wanting to do these things away from DMT in between sessions and I never thought I could find something that genuinely made me interested in self care the way it has.

I am an advocate of the slow approach you are your own traveler in this and your adventure is entirely up to you.

Good luck on your journeys

I am one who has not broken through yet although I have used lower doses quite a few times. Lower doses, especially with prayer and intent can indeed be theraputic, especially when combined with Harmalas. People that do Ayahuasca aren't generally breaking through.

That said, as far as redosing. It does seem to me to be much less effective if you actually come down and then try again. Maybe that's just me. However, I've read that you lose all your tolerance in one hour. I have waited a couple hours to be sure and redosed a few times in a day and more a fair amount of times with no lessening of effect. The fact that the experience is still fresh in your mind does make things a lot easier. You do feel a lot more tired and washed out if you do this numerous in a day. The afterglow the next day is stronger as well, though.

Harmalas will give you a longer experience as you may have read and they also prop that door open longer facilitating a slower and more leisurely entry. You can go deeper without hurrying the smoking.
