Just curious how smelly the lazyman's tek is? Would it make SWIMS house smell like a meth lab? SWIM has a cop that lives 2 doors down.

Dont risk it. Do limonene teks and have the place smell of oranges instead of paint/methlab/petrochemicals

Yeah SWIM was thinking about a limonene tek as well, though he may just go out to a nearby national forest and do the lazyman's tek in the middle of the woods, and just camp that night. SWIM's not too sure if his roomates would be happy he was doing it at the house as well, though they probably wouldn't care much.

You don´t have to risk anything... It will not leave any smell in your house. My flat is kinda small and i have never had any prob, just one window open when preparing the basic solution and all is good. Smells more the final product then the tek to get it ;)

No offense but thats really bad advice. The guy has a cop living next to him, think about how your advice may mean his life is ruined! You dont know how close the cop walks by, maybe he doesnt have a 'free' window for smell to go away, maybe his window goes straight to the cops window, maybe the cop passes by his window and would smell it, etc.

Plus, he said he lives with roommates, which might not be OK with what he is doing. So this means probably no freeze precipitation because he wont be able to use the shared freezer, but rather having to evaporate all the naphtha, = many mls of petrochemical solvents evaping = definitely significant smell. If there's perfect air circulation or whatever, maybe it wouldnt be a problem, but thats not something you can affirm so easily that it will not have a smell and specially not something you should so lightly offer advice for when there's a fellow Nexian who might get arrested if he follow your words while not having the best of luck...

Again, please, be safe autodidactic, dont risk it.

with my experience with lazyman's, the smell is only significant if you combine the pulls then evaporate. i live in an apartment and my room window is feet from the hallway and have had no problem with any smell evaping around 100-150ml of naphtha. you should be perfectly fine if you just evap small pulls

You have to be careful when using naphtha in an apartment. While you're working with it you sometimes lose the ability to smell it (I do). Others who are nearby might be sensitive to something like that. Personally I hated the smell of it until I associated it with extraction. I could smell it through my mask for the first extraction. People walking by aren't wearing masks :P

To directly answer your question, yes, it will smell terrible and someone will notice. I agree with endlessness and I'm currently researching limonene teks. I'm sick of working with harsh chemicals and believe me, naphtha will give you headaches and nosebleeds if you aren't 100% properly ventilated when evaporating (if evaporating). You have to also keep in mind that apartments share ventilation. I can smell it when someone down the hall starts smoking pot.

Seriously bro... my first extract was lazyman. Do Noman's tek or the BLAB. That lazyman tek with the large metal mixing bowl is bullshit. I can't imagine a more difficult vessel to work with especially out in the woods. Plus if you spilled any solvents (and you probably will with that tek).... thats no good.

I really recamend the BLAB tek. You can do it in a Gallon milk jug and you really are going to do it in a forest, be respectful and use the power of oranges.

Honest here... the lazyman is a terrible tek compared to any of the more current teks. I speak from experience.
