You can get some preeeetty cheap Chinese digital scales on ebay.
They're good enough for spice...
If you don't care about it being digital, I have seen some 30-40 dollar balances that are more reliable. Just not digital.

Buy one of these if u dont wanna use a scale..
i use the PINCH size of these spoons to measure my own stuff.. i dont full it like a little hill, just enough to cover the cavity of the spoon is enough.

If you don't want to buy mg/ug scales then dissolve 1g of DMT into a specific amount of solvent (say 100ml naptha) then to dose just remove and evap 5ml napth for 50mg DMT.
Just check the solubility ratios for DMT in your solvent of choice and go from there.

Scales that measure to the .001g can be pretty pricey, but you can get a very good one that will measure to the .05g for a moderate amount. Seeing as how doses tend to be multiples of 5mg, you should be quite accurate with a .05g scale. I paid $50 for mine, it's very small, discreet and portable, and the lid acts as a tray. It also has a built in digital level, and can work in many different modes,(oz, pennyweights, grams). Fair price for how good it is, but you can find one's that will get the job done for much cheaper.
I ordered one of these Gemini scales, so here's my mini review:
At first I thought I'd gotten a dud. "Cheap Chinese crap" was the thought that sprung to mind. The reason for my consternation was that while in theory the scale measures in "1 mg increments" it is only really accurate to about +/- 2-5mg. However once you accept the margin of error, you find that the scale is pretty reliable within its margin.
For instance, I've been using a tiny piece of almond nut to try to find the scales accuracy at the kinds of weights that are relevant for my purposes. The scale can give a reading for the piece of nut of anywhere from 42mg to 46mg.
The main "confounding factor" when weighing seems to be the surface on which the scale is set. It seems to be very sensitive to the slightest change in level. Therefor it is essential to recalibrate after moving the scale from one surface to another.
On one surface the scale will usually give me 45-46mg for the weight of the nut, on anouher 44-45mg and 43-44mg on still another surface. I've weighed it dozens of times on various surfaces at various ambient temperatures always calibrating for each new setting. For the most reproducable readings I would recomend if possible, leaving the scale on one surface all the time during measuring.
Overall, considering the price and after a bit of getting used to, I'm happy with the purchase.
