How To Prepare Shortform TBM?

I'm looking to purchase x9 golf ball sized short-form TBMs. I'm brand new to mescaline and don't exactly know what to ask, so please bear with me if this has been asked for the x1000th time.

The seller has said that two of them look like they're not in the best shape and may have been overwatered. Can these still be used for a trip in any way?

I'm aware of CIELO but don't want the equipment needed, and don't plan to extract often.

What is the best way to prepare short-form TBM?

Can you eat it raw? Should you boil it? Freeze it first?
 
It’s a bit difficult to prepare Tbm in the same way as typical cacti since the core and waxy skin is usually removed, if there’s any spines I would remove them, other than that just chop them up and either dry blend with a coffee grinder until powder and mix a spoonful in apple juice or take the chopped up bits and make a tea I find it best to do a freeze thaw cycle also I like it with honey lemon ginger
 
I will discourage from drying then powdering. That means you will have to consume the entire flesh of the cactus. why would you do that ? extra work, extra disconfort.
Just do normal preparation : cut in pieces (the whole thing, as it's TBM), boil with abundant water, filter and reduce to a small cup size.
