Hubble bubble extraction idea

Has anyone tried using a fish tank aerator to mix the solvent and base in A/B extraction.
Couldn't find any reference to it here.

SWIM tried it recently and he's sure it has improved both the quality and ease of doing pulls.
He just adds aerator step after the addition of the solvent and leaves it bubbling.
Had to add a weight to the hose to ensure the bubbles start at the bottom. Also stopped the bubbles for a while before each pull to let it seperate.

Hi , no not tried it but interesting, I guess it should help ? airation of the solution may help the separation of the molecule from solution to the solvent . If so there should be overall high yield .
Can't see how it would effect quality ? I've come to the conclusion slightly yellow is better than white .
I will try it , next extraction

Make sure that the plastic can hold up to the strong base and the solvent.
The air stone you can replace if it gets clogged but for the tubing you may need to heat some glass pipes and bend to your needs.

Ok Just have the tube going straight into the water with a tap to slow the rate and a piece of pvc pipe as a weight.

Time will tell if it can't handle it but as you suggest the glass tube would also work even better as it wouldn't float.

Generally in fishtanks it is supposedly the circulation that creates the airation not the bubbles. Well that's what someone told me years ago anyway.
following the solvent before base idea next time I'll start the aeration before the solvent and base so the acid will be moving up into the solvent before the base gets added then the freebase should form almost imediately.
Well that's a theory anyway.

I'm going to guess if you use Platinum cured Silicone tubing it would be solvent and Caustic / Acid safe, the Platinum cured silicone is also food safe.
