huge recrystallization loss, helppp

hey everyone i recently tried first recrystallization of 3 grams of a mixture of offwhite dmt, orange dmt(very similar to recrystallized yield, and dark goo and today looks like only a couple hundred milligrams of orange and little drk goo in left of pic(which is oils i scraped up) . Have no idea what went wrong and all looks like i achieved from this is dirtying up the good spice and loosing a whole lot. with whats left now, looks like needs another recrystallation but dont want to screw this one up as well and b left with nothing. i used some of the faq tek as well as mixture of another one since wasnt too detailed. Heres what i did exactly:
did 3 seperate recrystallizations for the 3 grams, 30mg zippo fuel per gram(this is closest thing to naptha in my country i found)
for each gram:
1. put gram of spice in shot glass and 30 ml of solvent in another shot glass
2. put solvent glass in plastic bowl and using a water heater once water started boiling poured the water into plastic bowl with solvent shot glass
3. 15 minutes later took shot glass out of bowl and using a eye dropper transfered all slovent to dmt shot glass,
4. put dmt shot glass in water bath for 5-10 minutes occationally swirling, and would b dark puddle of impurities on bottom.
5. with eye dropper sucked out all solvent till got to the puddle and put in clean glass container
6. added another 10ml of clean solvent and repeated process as suggested to pick up remaining dmt and put in a seperate container
7. put the 2 containers in fridge for 5 hours, than freezer for 20 hours, fridge 5 more hours, freezer 15 hours
8. Poured solvent into a cup with coffee filters(which picked up nothing) and the solvent evaped into nothing

the 1st pulls that should have been the clean dmt only produced some yellow oils on the glass and no dmt.
its the 2nd pull of the 10ml that pulled whats in the pic. im thinking because on the 2nd pulls i mixed the goo on bottom of shot glass with the solvent with the eye dropper, which turned the solvent into dark color, but i guess ended up picking up some dmt.

so please what did i do wrong and help me with the next recrystallization to prevent further disaster and please b as detailed as possible on what to do, thanks

I wouldn't do this next time....probably not a good idea.

Hot solvent yes, leaving dmt in hot water bath, no.

I'm guessing your original spice was pretty dirty stuff (oils most likely(. The goo is probably pretty potent without a recrystallization.

How much spice did you recover?

I suggest heating up some solvent (as little as possible) putting all of your spice/goo together, adding hot solvent.

Swirl for 10 seconds or so. Pull off solvent, stick directly into freezer for a few hours.

If your solvent turns orange/yellow you've picked up some impurities (the hotter it is and the longer it is in contact with the spice goo the more impurities the solvent will pick up). Simply let it cool off, the impurities will fall out of the solvent.

thanks ill try that out. i recovered 500mg.
So after adding the solvent to the dmt shot glass, pull after only 10 seconds?
and no mixing the bottom goo layer with solvent, just swirling?
just want to make sure it pulls all the dmt this time

Yes, but do it a few times. 10-20 seconds each....maybe 10ml per pull.

k did this 3 pulls, ended up with a couple tiny orange crystals again, only like myb 15mg and thin layer of oil , went from 3g i started with to almost nothing, ahhh
didnt throw away the goop this time so hoping myb the rest is in there, advice neone?

I really don't know how to tell you to fix this, but I would NOT smoke anything that looks like what you have in your photo.

Were there crystals in the freeze precipitated containers? Did you do the FAQ trick to prevent melting crystals? Maybe the oil is your dmt, but you let it evap instead of freezing it properly ?

Did you do an evap test in your solvent to see if it evapped clean?

If you havent thrown away any of the solvent then you should be able to evaporate all the solvent you used and be left with what you put in in the first place. Then try again with a different solvent imo.

Just realised that you said the solvent evapped into nothing. If you only recovered 500mg from 3 grammes pf dmt and you have evapped all the solvent then where the hell did 2.5 grammes of material go? lol.

Ime when re-xing i will have a pot on an electric hotplate semi filled with hot water from the kettle. I will place a whiskey glass with 25ml of ronsonol petrol fluid in the hot water filled pot, i will be covering the top of the glass with kitchen paper to stop water condensing on inside of glass. When the solvent is hot i will pour a gramme of dmt into the glass and swirl around for a couple of minutes and place the glass back in hot water. Bring water to the boil again and hold the glass in the hot water then lift and swirl and back in the water. After 10 minutes or so i will stir and swirl the glass and leave it to settle. Once the impurities have dropped to the bottom i siphon off the solvent into a fresh glass and let cool to room temperature where i can then blow on it to see how saturated the solvent is. If its saturated it will go cloudy. Transfer to fridge then freezer and in the morning its christmas
