Human Brain Project & Virtual Entheogens

I don't know if anybody here is familiar with The Human Brain Project, so here is the link:

Only time will tell if this project will be a success. A fully functioning artificial (simulated) human brain is their main goal.

What I want to know is this. If Henry Markram's team DO complete this project will the simulated brain be human in every respect. Will it have emotions, will it have a mind. More intriguingly will it possess ESP and other psychic abilities?

Let's say the team introduce virtual DMT or psilocybin molecules into the emulated brain. What would happen? Would the sim brain experience similar effects to real humans or would it differ, or would there be no effect at all? And, if this sim brain is much more advanced than our biological brains then maybe it could explore Hyperspace far more freely and engage a lot more effectively with DMT Entities and Machine Elves.

What do you guys think? Has anybody else had similar thoughts to me?

As far as how our beloved entheogens react with this artificial brain, I think there is another question needing answered, and it is similar to yours. If a brain is created artificially, is consciousness created also? Does awareness of its brainself constitute consciousness or by being artificial will it skip the embedding of consciousness(energy) step involved in being biologically created and only be aware?

Other questions:
Without the sensory organs, would the brain's awareness be more ESP in nature? I think that would be more likely if it developed awareness at all.
This also brings up the old,"Is the dmt experience only a drug interaction in the brain or is it more?" The brain would need consciousness if you believe the latter. Would the entheogen experience even matter to a brain without a "mind?"

I believe that if the project is successful then the team will probably provide a body for the sim brain (camera eyes, exoskeleton, wheels, etc).

I'm more optimistic. I believe (I hope, lol) that it will have a consciousness and a mind. They are trying to emulate the brain after all, but I do see your points of view. It could be that we each have a soul and this spirit cannot be emulated/simulated in any way. I do criticize neuroscientists for not researching brain mysteries more. As for your idea of the brain as a receiver- right on! I think this is very possible, because we could be accessing divine/transcendent knowledge all the time (even sub-consciously). Nobody really knows where inspiration comes from (music, maths, art, etc), maybe this project will shed new light on these grey areas.

First, the human brain project is kind of a joke. We don’t really know enough about neurons, molecular/atomic activity within neurons, and physics to accurately simulate a single neuron. So the idea that a whole assemblage of neurons could be simulated is questionable. But we have to start somewhere.

I’ve thought about a theoretical “human brain project” – if a human brain could be accurately simulated down to the quantum level, then we could administer simulated DMT to such a brain. The question then is: what would happen? Would the simulated brain experience “hyperspace”? If so, would this mean that hyperspace is, as materialists claim, the product of a drug-addled brain? Such a theoretical brain simulation (theoretical because it can never actually be built for numerous obvious reasons) could conclusively prove one way or the other if “mind” exists in brain.

if you make the brain with the same connections, would it not react to DMT?
(excepting the possibility that everything has a consciousness in some form or another, which in all honesty i believe)
