I am done with this forum.

And however you want to frame it, it is censors[REDACTED]
Yes, the Nexus doesn't claim to be a total free speech community, nor a general purpose social media site. Certain topics and kind of posts are off limits, be it for legal, moral, topical, or practical reasons.

Luckily, there are many other forums that allow some of the topics and kind of posts not allowed here (and vice versa). It would be bad if the Nexus had to decide what can be posted online in a wide sense, and that's not the case.

Furthermore, the Nexus is not a democracy. It's owned by Trav and ultimately he sets the rules however he sees fit. He's under no obligation to put his money and effort into hosting anything that he doesn't want to host.

I'll be honest, no one's AI conversations are special. We're being swept away by the novelty to think that any AI conversation is worth the salt to share here. You want engagement, but most people don't want to engage in your 18 pages of AI conversation. I am more interested in my own AI conversation. I am also more interested in interaction with YOU authentically, not you and your LLM. When seeking engagement, there's a balance one must find in order to receive that engagement. If you're sharing something that many find uninteresting then you won't get the engagement, so what's the point of sharing then.

Unlike many other forums, there is a standard here. You very well know this. The standard leads more astute that jovial, and that's just the nature of this forum. Take it or leave it. But at the end of the day, the Nexus is a garden to tend to and keep clean.

One love

But let me ask you this my friend- does the standards in hyperspace lead more to astute or jovial? Isn't this forum all about hyperspace? Here, I am interacting with you authentically as myself. I think it's a good question.

Well, that's fine. It is his forum after all. But I mean, when I think of DMT hyperspace, I don't exactly think of entities that care if your take is political or AI lol

That question is a little bit of a red herring, for we're not talking about standards in hyperspace, but instead, standards of this online digital platform.

The forum is all about DMT, hyperspace is just one facet.

Truuue, I guess I just went to hyperspace before I went to this online digital platform, and have been back many times since and so... I guess the amount and nature of the moderation doesn't exactly track with the spirit of DMT to me. But maybe the admin here have a different relationship with DMT than me at this time.

Anyway, this forum is all about DMT but I wonder what DMT is all about, or rather, whatever lies within its wonders? Is it about you? About me? About a tree? Beauty? Terror? Chaos? Order? The endless cascading complexity of a trillion billion dominos colliding in every which way until we have something resembling an ordered universe, just to knock em all down again as the complexity spirals into complete disarray just to be arrayed yet again?

Or all of the above, none of it, something quite different or quite the same? Why, I cannot say what DMT is quite about, but I can guarantee it neither agrees nor disagrees with anybody's opinion on this thread at all times. How then would you even model a forum's rules after such a thing, without a hefty dose of the sort of chaos this internet can't even handle?

All fun things to ponder on.

I got your vibe from the other thread, where you just went with the flow to please the community...
It's better to be honest, and this post shows your character much more. It's all good. I'm glad that you're questioning stuff and on the path of inner exploration.
My advice that no one asked for is that you should look at yourself and your reactions first. What you see in others lives in you. That much should be apparent.

Most of the moderators here work in the computer science field and are somewhat immune to the novel AI magic trend. Knowing how the technology actually works
helps them see its limitations. When you grow a garden, it's better to remove the weeds, or no harvest awaits you later on. We want human interaction first.
Just count how many times you mentioned AI in your post. If it's just a tool for you, why defend it so much? I feel the issue lies elsewhere, though.

I wish you all the best on your journey of life. You're free to do whatever you want. It's sad that you couldn't see past some minor issues.
Nexus is much more than what you presented.
Peace 🕊️
"What you see in others lives in you. That much should be apparent." Excellent advice for all. I've been working on doing just that over the past year.

Peace and love brother.
