So it is a wrong attitude to ask where is a location of certain mushroom but it is ok to ask about where to find MHRB and other plants and how much is it? Can someone explain to me how is this possible or are you going to close this thread as well ?

Sorry but I have to say this : you are Hippocrat who ever locked my thread. If it is not ok to talk about where to get mushrooms, than it should not be allowed here to talk about obtaining other plants containing controlled substances neither. Rule is a rule you can not have it both ways so decide or unlock my thread

Was your question about hunting for wild mushrooms? I don't know what your thread was and I didn't close it but maybe it was misinterpreted to mean like finding mushrooms to purchase? If you need tips on mushroom hunting I think that would be fine. What kind are you looking for? I hunt for Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata and also have pretty good luck with stumbling across Gymnopilus mushrooms.
 
I think it is wise that you learn to properly identify mushrooms and find them on your own, rather than trying to source local spots from people on the internet.

Don't share your spots with anybody. They're yours!
Also don't pick all the mushrooms, as you want some to drop spores for next year / later.

that was exactly what I was asking for - hunting wild mushrooms but instead of that my thread got locked

well I understand your point but it is not a reason to lock my thread so I still demand to unlock it. It is not fair and I my self don't see anything wrong about sharing locations. If I knew and you asked me I would tell you and gladly. Should not this be a normal for us humans to share our resources. It only makes it easy for all of us.

I hope you can see that it was locked for your / our own good.
Remember, it is important to remain Anonymous on the internet, especially on sites like this.
Giving directions to local spots not only tells the authorities exactly where they need to look to catch people hunting shrooms, but it also gives a great deal of info about your location as well.

It's just better off that you spend some time in your woods slowly getting to know the fungus in your area. It is a wonderful hobby. Either us, or people at the shroomery ID subforum can help you properly ID your mushrooms.

If you wish to discuss details to locations in your area, keep them in private, please. We are all better off if this kind of information is kept amongst trusted people, and not wide open on the internet.

I do not think you really want 50 people stomping all over your sacred spots, do you?

I have spent a lot of time in my local woods. I know where to find all the good edible/medicinal mushrooms. You won't see me posting these spots here, or anywhere!!! :)

You are attempting to procure drugs that are neither legal ethnobotanicals nor are they legal chemical supplies.

Furthermore, by giving real world locations on a public forum, you open yourself up to all sorts of risk (the same reason we don't allow people to post about real-world meet-up's).

I hope you understand why this is not hypocritical and that this explanation satiates your demands.

hehe I really do not think that police have nothing else to do than just wait days buy some field just to catch someone to pick few mushrooms :)

I understand some of your valid points but still think that my thread should not be locked. Admin could for example ask to only disclose location through PM. According to what you said all MHRB suppliers are now in dangerous situation. Because of this forum police can find them all. And I bet if police should chose weather to stand by field to wait for some mushroom pickers or arrest MHRB suppliers what do you think would they go for ?

As I said I want to share not to keep all just for my self but its me I can not talk for anyone else.

Anyway if anyone feels like to share some info on MM around my area (Berkshire, Wiltshire , Hampshire) feel free to PM me. Thank you

If I may say - I respectfully do not agree with you.

If I say openly where Liberty cups are to be found I DO NOT commit any crime by doing this so therefore I can not open my self or anyone to any risk. The real problem would start only if I actually picked the mushrooms. So I do not think there is any problem about talking about locations. Its not illegal is it ?

As I mentioned above : what about all those suppliers we talk about in suppliers section ? Don't you think they my be in trouble now because we talk about them ? See that's why I used the word (Hippocrat)cos it was the only one that fitted right in

So MHRB is legal ? Is that why is it being seized by customs all over the world ? You know exactly what I am talking about.

I am not going to argue with you I think I made my point here. That thread should not be locked period.

I agree though that its probably better not discussed on an open forum though but smoker does have a point on the legal aspect.

Well, I would suggest to learn about the habitat of the mushrooms you are looking to find, the conditions that cause them to fruit, and then you need to find a match to those conditions. If there is a mycology association near you they can be an immense help in teaching you to have mushroom eyes, which will let you spot all different kinds of mushrooms more easily. I definitely suggest to join a myco group to learn about basic mushroom hunting and identification and then once you know the basics to do some hunting on your own. A good field guide will be a big help, as will taking very clear photos to have identified on the Shroomery's Hunting & ID board. :)
