I have some really nice huge red spice chrystals contaminated

Hi.

I made a nice batch of Red-Spice and leftt it for evaporating.
with every day it became ore and more like big red diamond cunks...
but i made the mistake i guess, i tried to clean it with a bith of Sodium Carbonate, and some activated charcoil..



which would be the besr way of getting rid of all the impurities with this..
if you look close enough, you will see chrystals size like 3x3 mm size, but dirty with activazed charcoil and i guess still some lye..
So, any idea on how to save my red chrystals??

Redissolve it in some warm naptha, then decant it and / or run through some filter paper until there is no contamination, then either evaporate it or stick it in the freezer.

will it seperate then good, cause actually theres lye, activated charcoil and the red scpice..

If you do it right, then you should end up with a pretty pure end product.You could add some water after dissolving the spice in naptha, which would dissolve any remaining lye and separate the charcoal from the naptha, then suck the naptha from the top of the water to make sure there are as few particles in contact withe the solvent as possible when you pull it again.

How did you get lye in there? Did you suck up some of the lye solution with the naptha? Naptha won't pick up any lye, just the DMT.

So i wanted to tryout today Rex, but i twas shocked when i saw when looke in bow...
No its been scraped for Rexing, but there even has become more covered with with..
And i now do not think its le, i guess it might be same Sodium Carbonate....!



so, would it still be the best solution just to rex it and freeze??
(I loved those red big chraystals in the first picture)..

As my Bestine ran out. i would need to rex, with Naphtam which always take ages to evap (from my opinion, as the content of the bowl here you can see is ca. 7 gr...(so i might come to an amount of 280 ml Naphta...
Maybe taking less naphta and freeze it would be best solution

with Heptane, you coan nearly watch it evaporating..)

But ii think i will give it a try then...

Add a bit of hot naptha to dissolve the spice

Adding a bit of water, mixing and separating should remove any residual contaminates and allow a clean freeze-precip. Evaporating rather than freeze-precipitating is going to concentrate all the impurities, which explains the mess in the first pic.
