So the tek I read says that you should take a hammer and a screw driver to the end of a bottle and break it for the mouth piece hole (if you can't aford a drill). I tried this and it always broke unevenly so I whent through a few botles before I figured out a new way. I took my dab tourch and heated the bottom of the bottle then put a few drops of cold water on the bottom. This broke the glass nice, clean, and smooth. If you want a good looking machine don't waste your money on a drill piece just super heat the bottom then cool it rapidly.

I will be trying this in a few days. Have you done more than one? My main concern is the fracture shooting up to the body of the bottle. I have only ever heated bottles on fire pits so thats not a very good comparison. Will post my results when I have them!

Based on my past experience with glass, I'd guess that this method would work sometimes, and other times it would cause larger fractures in the glass. It's pretty unpredictable, so maybe if you have some bottles to spare you could take a few tries at it and keep the best one.

I know when I made mine, I did it with a Dremel grinding attachment and water and it took FOREVER. It did work but it wasn't perfect. There was an uneven fracture around the hole I made, probably caused by the heat of the grinding.

I was going for practicality more than aesthetics, so I wasn't that worried about it, bit if I wanted to make a pretty one in the future, I might try this method with my propane torch and some safety goggles.

This was my first try and my first machine. Luckily I had a bunch of empty Miller high life botles and time because the first 7 times with the screw driver I messed up but one try with my dab tourch/water and I have a pretty good looking hole. I can't weight to try it out I'm on the second pull of a 100 gram atb of acrbp and the first pull is super milky.

Did mine with a drill bit made for tile / glass. Took about an hour, going pretty slow. The drill bit came in a set with three different sizes. I started with the smallest one, going really slow, that took 90% of the time. Enlarging the hole with the two larger drill bits was much easier.

Took a lot of patience, but was worth it in the end. One hit breakthroughs every time I want them. To be honest, it's a little too efficient. A friend of mine is in the process of preparing some Changa to try and slow the experience down a bit. Freebase is so full on.

I'm not sure if you need the whole bottom of the bottle off or just a hole. But if you need the whole bottom off you can tie a piece of string around the bottle (nice and tight) Then pull it off (leaving it tied up) Dip it in nail polish remover (I'm sure other flamables would work as well just make sure it will burn for a while) when its good and soaked, put it back around the bottle where u want to cut it, light it up, Then have something with ice cold water in it deep enough to dip the bottle up past the string. let it burn for a little bit (u want it nice and hot) then just dip it in the ice water. Enjoy. perfect cut every time. As I said not sure if u need a hole or the entire bottom cut off but this is how you can do it if you need the whole bottom!

And if you need a hole, get a marble spin it round and round in the bottom of the bottle, then quickly kind of toss the marble at the glass while its spinning really fast in the bottom. once again enjoy You can even sometimes get it done with a dime or some other kind of coin money, depends on the thickness of the glass.

Only know this stuff because I use to make glass "waterfall" bongs all the time.

When I made a machine, I've used a file to make the mouthpiece hole. It took a while, but the result was probably the best possible - a hole without any cracks that was comfortable to directly put lips on. Jsut do it somewhere where you can discard the waste glass powder. I've never really mastered it, I found my electronic vapes much better, but if you're struggling to make the hole in the machine, this can be a good way.
