Hi, I just did an Iboga treatment and I experienced... nothing much.
I had 10 servings of 2 grams of pulverized Iboga root bark spread over 10 hours (I started in the morning). I ate the first 5 servings (extremely gross), and then I had to switch to capsules because just thinking about eating it made me want to puke at this point.
The Iboga effect started becoming noticeable around the 4th serving and became gradually stronger until the 7th serving. From then on the effect leveled off and stayed on that level. It was a pretty mild experience when I compare it to Ibogaine experiences that I've read on the internet which seem extremely intense. I didn't experienced much, just moderate physical sensations and a bit different more visual thoughts.
A few hours after midnight I fell asleep and when I woke up in the morning the physical sensations and thoughts were gone. I still had a flashing light effect when I moved, but that was gone pretty quickly too.
Also, as far as I can tell nothing has really shifted or changed for me which is not what people that used Ibogaine describe.
All in all, I feel like I had nothing more then a mild relaxant with some side effects like flashing lights and slightly altered more visual thoughts.
I'm still open to trying it again but then with Ibogaine. But I'm trying to get an idea of the difference between Iboga root bark and Ibogaine first. I paid 750 Euro for the Iboga root bark treatment and I feel like it didn't have any lasting effect on me so I'm wary of making such an investment again.
What is the difference between Iboga root bark and Ibogaine? Can anyone tell from experience? And is it normal to experience so little when eating 20 grams of Iboga root bark?
