i saw that, made me lol. i read the cool post on here about freemasonry funding research into dmt and also the bit about freemasons and acacia, which was interesting. i gathered then that this was where the theory, which is of course preposterous, that the "elite" all smoke dmt.
ive been interested in freemasonry a while and the illuminati were, from my research, another branch of it. freemasonry is about freedom of religion and speech (plus many other things), which was good reasdon to be secretive in years when such things led to torture. when conspiracy nuts hate the illuminati its because, imo, they have been fooled by religious demonisation and control; one of the very things they believe themselves to be fighting...the irony...but then folk love to point fingers. can't beat a good imaginary hobgoblin to justyify or forget our own inanities. gets of soap box*

its possibly true, in part, that freemasonry did/does exert influence over the masses. my understanding is that the idea was to have members, who incidentally must believe in a supreme being, which in itself allows freedom of religion, in high standinmg offices in politics so as to bring outward social change via legislation. this is where i beliewve the idea of mass control comes but really its for the better, if its true, and of course is contrary to religious and social oppression. but ive encountered freemasons that are borderline racist, who will probably never rise in the society but then also the sum has an activity beyond its parts. wasn't rosicruciuan master count cogliastro implicated in starting the french revolution?
there is also holly/wood movies of course. holly has long been used to ward off evil. you have the holly reefs we hang on our door at christmas. it is conjectured that secret societies were involved in the inception of hollywood. the idea of using trickster energy to influence social change. all movies made in "free" countries will have inate and expressed freedoms that we ourselves take for granted but will seem like good ideas to folk in countries where there are degrees of opprsdeion. so bringing change (warding off evil) through folks desire to be entertained (tricking) and even the most dumb mass produced blockbuster movies have these qualities/freedoms found within them. they knew well what they were doing.
with the internet, another product of "free" society, the momentum has increased...how facebook changed the world, the revolutions in north africa etc. so in part the idea of controlling the masses has some truth, one that religious and social oppression no doubt oppose and spin conspiracy theories on. and of course alot occult symbology is demonised and feared. i watched a vid the other day on youtube that claimed that islam was taking over the world (ive nothing against muslims). it seemed ironic to me that if it could, organised religion would not even allow youtube, yet here it was trying to use something that is instrumental in its downfall.
it has also been suggested that freemasonry is one of the means by which the great white brotherhood of ascended masters aid in affecting the physical realm.
i gathered at the time of reading that the illuminati were a branch of freemasonry more concerned with inner alchemy (kundalini(im not suggesting there is such a thing)) than outward (social change) though both no doubt crossover and this could be wrong.
thats my take anyway. baring in mind that many masons have no idea what they're a part of and of course social change comes from many avenues.
