Aww Do you know what has caused it?

I too was in the ICU for awhile with a GI bleed. It took them FOREVER to find it.... It was Mechels or something of that nature. Turned out (after around $150k tests) that I had a sack on my stomach that dripped some stomach acid only my GI tract and burnt holes, which in turn released blood and into my stool. Took them about a month and a half for them to find it. So if your still looking for what it is, please ask them about it.

I feel very sorry for you as well I had 21 pints of blood transfused into me... so I know at least something of what your going through. I hope you either know what it is, or find it soon!

Thank you all for the kind words, luckily enough i caught it early on so im already on track to getting better. apparently i had an ulcer the size of a %.50 piece that had burst...or something. my H&H was down to 7.4 so i have been transfusing blood. my hopes are high and my support groups are kickin ass with me so again...thank you all and happy trails, shouldnt be here much longer, i hope. And Ellis, im not gunna lie haha your story definitely made me feel better about mine, ive only a few units so far transfused so i guess im doin alright..

To Everyone Else - What if you needed 2 or 12 or 21 units of blood? Think about it. You know it is so EASY to donate a pint of blood and the people who work the clinics are so good at what they do, I can honestly say it's not all that painful. Nice folks and good cookies. How can you go wrong?

Seriously, please, call Red Cross, a blood bank, your local equivalent and donate a pint for free this week. You'll feel better about yourself, you'll lower your blood pressure without even trying, drugs will work really, really good for a week and you may very well save a life.
