Hey there fine folks. I'm never really good at these things, but I'm gonna give it a shot. lol
I've been an explorer of the outer/inner realms for a long time now, but for whatever reason had never been exposed to the spirit molecule. Until recently that is. Of course exposure brings with it all kinds of interesting and marvelous questions and curiosities which unfold for those inclined, such as myself, to researching said molecules prior to actually experiencing them. That is the endeavour that led me here. I still have a lot of questions even after having read through quite a bit of the available information so I will need to eventually be able to ask them, which of course leads me to a couple of things. First, this "Hi I'd like to be able to ask questions and share experiences" essay. 😉 Second. The questionnaire has a question that I am stumbling upon for whatever reason and I need to be pointed to the area where I can find the answer. What are the common materials are soluble in acetone? Probably something I am thinking too hard or making too complex, but the answer nonetheless escapes me. Even after searching these forums, using google provides me with things like plastic, alcohols, certain acids, but that doesn't seem to be the "right" answer....or is it? lol. I also decided to try my hand at this whole vape/mod thing. Whoooo wheee. I can complicate the mess out of anything. Seems even the "no learning curve" method is carrying a bit of learning bend for me. :lol: I haven't smoked anything for over a decade so anything I can do to lessen the lung stress is a good thing. I'll need find a way to lengthen the distance between a certain mesh and a top cap at some point I believe. I don't really know. It's all new to me and I am enjoying the learning experience. With that, I thank you for your time and contributions to the knowledge found here and I only hope I can help add to the community as my experiences build.

The questionnaire is nice, isn't it. Provides so many opportunities to find answers to questions you'd never asked... Btw, it does have an end, in case you were wondering.

Answers are taken into consideration by many members for their votes, but it's not like a school test with grades. It's more about seeing one's attitude, ability to find/connect information and handle frustration ;)
Many questions don't have a right answer, this one technically does though. My answer to that question was pretty much the one you can't believe it is. Right or wrong (it's not wrong - maybe incomplete), it didn't stand in my way of membership.

The direct mesh vaporization method wasn't as easy as it sounded for me either. I got the VandyVape Mesh RDA and it works, but I'll need more practice to get full dose in one or two hits. I just like smoking changa too much, so vaping pure freebase is low on my priority list.

I'm sure people will help you get the technique and setup right if you post about what you did and how, and how it's not working as intended.

Thanks for the reply. I am definitely enjoying the learning end of things here. Perhaps Changa is in the future. I'll certainly at least try it. Freebase was what came my way so it's at least a place to start. Sooo many options. I love this rabbit hole that has been opened. As always, the journey is the adventure. Experimentation has always been a rather exciting thing for me. :)

Like Homo Trypens said, it's not necessarily about answering all the questions "right", its just one more feedback we get from new members to see a bit of their previous knowledge and most importantly, attitude. As for the acetone question, a lot of things dissolve in acetone, but as it relates to extractions, it dissolves most plastics so gotta be careful during extractions to use the right tools and containers. And it dissolves freebase DMT well but not DMT fumarate (hence why the FASA tek works).

Let us know about your vape/mod experiences. Personally I just have a vaporizing pipe (GVG in my case but there are others you can buy or make yourself) and use that, its another option you can consider if you want to not strain your lungs :)

Are you also interested in oral dmt/ayahuasca use?

As for the questions you have, it's all good! Gotta fall in love with questions, because in terms of the experience itself, it generally leaves you with more questions than answers, and regarding the subject of DMT/psychedelics/chemistry/pharmacology/etc, this is also endlessly fascinating and there are always more questions to be asked :D

Just make sure to read the main resources available, FAQ, stickied threads, etc, and then jump right into our community :)
