Introduction Essay

Hello,
My story is long and complicated, but I will keep this short to spare you all. I became interested in altered states while I was a teenager I would experiment with different entheogens. I was obsessed with them spending hours and hours researching and learning how they made me feel. There was one particular experience that opened my mind and has left me with a curiosity that has lasted for years. I have often been on the forum, but never thought of becoming a member until recently. It would be nice to have a community that knows to some extent what the relationship of the consciousnesses and entheogens really means. I hope to learn more about this community and share my story.

Welcome to formal membership on the Nexus - I'm glad you decided to actually sign up.

I don't know if you have had a chance to explore this place in depth yet, but I would highly recommend it. No promises of the answers you seek, but at least you will know you are not alone and there are many others who chose to dip or swim in the seas of Hyperspace.

I wonder if you might be willing to expand on things just a bit? You mentioned one key particular experience . . . . what induced that (drugs, meditation, dance, pain, something else . . . .) and where has this newfound curiosity led you?

Have you come to any conclusions or are you just left with ever more questions?

Have you had a chance to try DMT yet? If so, oral or smoked and did you extract it yourself?
