Rising Star
Hello folks,
about 6-7 years ago, I first got into reading about psychedelic compounds. My interest towards chemistry in general lead me to searching for "LSD synthesis" online. At that point, I didn't even know anything about the effects of this drug, except some vague knowledge about "hallucinations" and "pink elephants". I was very astounded reading about the minuscule amount of compound needed to cause such profound effects. That drugs could be non-addictive. Physically largely safe. Everything.
Shortly after, I began reading books by Albert Hofmann, Alexander&Ann Shulgin, various forums - largely chemistry-related, etc. When I turned 18 and heard about someone having access to acid, I got some myself. Due to my reckless behaviour, this first trip lead to quite some (negative) experience. Another try, some 2.5 years later, wasn't much less reckless. Both trips lead to being reincarnated together with the whole universe, after living through my own personal hell. Both trips featured a cosmic sacrifice of my soul, being ridiculed for my arrogance, stupidity, naivety. Nonetheless, I couldn't bring much home from either of the experiences. Certainly, they were interesting and powerful, but the only insight I got was that my respect towards psychedelics has to grow a lot. Perhaps this will be the most important thing to remember on my journey.
DMT is one of the drugs I have on my list, although probably far in the future. If 150 µg of an 1-acyl-LSD derivative can shatter my soul into an infinite amount of pieces, what will a breakthrough dosage of DMT do to me? I almost have an irrationally big fear about getting to know the answer, but it is overpowered by curiosity - the main driving force of human progress.
For now, my interests are more focused on relatively mild and humble entheogens and empathogens though. I seem to be very sensitive, even cannabis can produce CEVs/OEVs/near egodeath experiences for me at this point.
I hope this introduction could give you some insights into my personality and attitude.
Be safe, best regards,
