introduction!

Migrated topic.
(edited for better presentation)
ask me, my opinion changes :p
(below you will find the responses to my first attempt of extracting dmt from brachy)

Welcome, from what I've read you have a frustrating but rewarding path ahead of you. Fatty oils and chlorophyl are your enemy. Fumaric acid is your friend.

Please let me know how your research goes and what tek you devise. I will also be working with Phalaris grass initially while I wait for other, slower growers to mature, though I will be spending a good deal of time gardening before I conduct any research whatsoever.

While I can't answer for espahbodforghani, I can give you my own reasons for exploring Phalaris while the rest of my garden grows.

Phalaris can more easily be harvested locally and sustainably whereas I've seen horrific images of what short-sighted "for profit" MHRB harvesting can do to a grove. This is because Phalaris species grow in places MH/AC won't and beyond that they grow much faster. After all, even if you're of a mind to grow your own that takes years with MH/AC.

While grass tek is messy and difficult, until I'm able to grow MH (thank goodness I live in a warm enough climate zone) I will be experimenting with Phalaris to refine my techniques and understanding of extractions, TLC, etc.

my apologies for the sudden disappearance and im here with news :)
thanks to cognitiveheart and D_juggz who started the phalaris thread and some further readings on the forum a while back i realized theres the danger of gramine but less so with the aquatica strain, but in all honesty the yields with the plant are probably not worth your time to bother with, as the total alkaloid content varies and even in optimistic light you'll be juicing a whole lot of the stuff and the defatting and extraction isn't friendly to your yields, but the funny thing is after some tries i met a dear friend who was a nano chemist, and thats where you know the copy of tihkal you have isn't a waste :p
in response to complexity
i uh live in a country that doesn't have membership in the international trade, and payment methods don't work very well here, plus the phalaris is native AND while i was starting had my interest for its possible high yeilds, because you get a gram of dmt for a much higher price than usual around here i liked to extract it, but as it turns out the results of this work costs you more time and effort than i could tolerate, im pretty sure a experienced chemist who had lots of patience could make this work but thats for the chemist to continue :)
and fortunately i live in a warm climate zone that can host MHRB which i've got around a couple hundred seeds now, after i get my university stuff together i'll begin germinating them and putting them in pots, the idea is we just plant as much as we can in different areas turn this place into natural dmt farms lol
