Is a happy/positive trip under our control?

My friend tried some of my dmt sunday. Since Im not him I can only tell you what I saw and he described. We saw him hit the pipe once and cough hard, he held an eye balled amount of dmt in for maybe 5 seconds. The secondhand smoke that was quickly expelled I took in. It gave me dmt body buzz (didnt know it was possible for dmt to have secondhand effects.)
Anyways he sat in place for roughly 3 minutes. He smiled, wept, gasped in facial expression while his body was a statue. This frightened me, he also picked up a razor used to clean my weed grinder on the table in front of him. Something bothered him badly at one point. I see the purpose in a sitter now.

He IMO described a outer body experience. He said was watching the room from some dream bubble above his head, yet could catch glimpses of altered vision through his body, at one point two SWIM and myself were standing in front of him side to side. He said when we did we all stretched together through out the room like a rain bow. Over all he was interested in it and wants to try again. This has made me feel like finally breaking through. My question is, with positive set and settings does this help ensure a good trip or can it equally go either way? And if I see something like negative entities or something that scares me, is there anything I can do to make it turn for the better? And could someone explain if they think the "wanting to learn and love" mind setting really help trips become more positive?

Keep all sharp objects away, hehehe:) this will help to not needing a sitter there. I find that if there is anyone else in the room with me, I get distracted when dosing and it plays on my mind, somone in the room next door, now that sounds good, so if needed they could just pop in.

Yes, positive set and setting can help to a good journey. Have a clear mind, no stress, no worries, no phones no nothing, just you and the Spice.

Negative entities?? Not sure about that, thats the kind of mindframe you should try and get rid of. If you go into this with a negative thought, hyperspace will lock into that feer you have. If for some reason you do get "scared" then the only advise I can give you is to hold on and ride it out, it will be over in a few minutes. Honestly, the only scary thing that might happen is that your ego will be shattered, all reality will break apart. Please read through some of the DMT experiences, Joebono wrote a few good ones about his breakthroughs he had, and how powerfull they can be.

You just gotta go into this experience with open arms and an open heart, give yourself in to it, dont fight it, you will be rewarded well bro. And remember everything IS and WILL be ok:)

And remember to smile:)

Setting def helps with your experience being good and i have always tryed going in with a open mind never done dmt but have had plenty of experences on salvia some great and some terrifying. Also i tryed to think of terrence mckenna one of his things he said on a video on youtube is nature loves courage if you ever find your self confronted with an abyss (could represent your fear) Toss your self into it and a outside force nature or whatever will come and guide you through. When ever im feeling scared i think of this. Heres a link to the video. Hope it helps

1) Sometimes the physical act of turning your head to the left or right can change the scene - turn to where you think the light is.

2) Be grateful for what you are experiencing. Say "thank you".

3) Focus on the love, joy and wonder within you.

4) Before you go In, go out and buy some nice flowers. Choose ones you find beautiful, that make you feel good, and set them near you before you go in. It is a manifestation of your gratitude, and you may be richly rewarded for it.

5) Relax. Let go. Accept what is happening. You can make sense of it all later.

Safe travels

while I always knew terence mckenna was a genuis. Some of his talk shied me away from listening to him. But this video was just beautiful thank you.

Your mindset is the most important thing. If you've had a fight with someone, depressed etc just don't even take the dose. Do it when you are in a good mood, and remember there really isn't any good or bad and you'll have a lot of fun and get some insights. Things don't become 'bad' unless you label it like that.
