Hello! I managed to find a naphtha based product at my local "Home Hardware" store. The brand is "Home". The product is called "Odourless Paint Thinner". All purpose cleaner. The label says, "contains petroleum naphtha". So, is this petroleum naphtha the good stuff to use?

I THINK this might be the product. National Center for Forensic Science Do those look like the right chemicals, Mr. experts? Thanks.

No, Coleman fuel is not alright for freeze-precipitation.

The only way to "combat the impurities" is to distill it to eliminate the non-volatile compounds.

hi. How do you distill it? THANKS!

So, in answer to my original question, YES, the "Home" Odouless Paint Thinner (contains naphtha) does work for extractions. So that is a cleaner alternative for people using camp fuel or whatever.
