A friend brought this over along with some phalaris arundinacea. It apparently was growing next to some phalaris plants near a river, and it looks kinda like one, but I can't find any pictures online that look exactly like it. About 1.5 meters high, but with a thicker trunk/stem thing and different shaped leaves/buds on the thing at the top (though it may just be that they're not ripe or something)...
Is this really phalaris? We're trying to figure out how these plants should be prepared, and it seems dangerous to be messing around with shit if this might not be the real thing.
