Juicing phalaris brachystachys via wheatgrass juicer

Hi i was originally going to do a lazyman extraction on my phalaris but i don't think i will be able to anymore because i still live with my parents and i read somewhere that lye and naphtha produce an odor, so now i will be doing it with a wheatgrass juicer. I want to smoke the product so i was going to evaporate the juice but would it be possible to smoke it and acheive SOME effect? I read somewhere that basifying it just gives it more leeway but if your careful you can still smoke it w/o doing so, so I imagine if i smoke it in a lightbulb that the dmt wouldn't combust but i could be wrong. Please any feedback at all would be helpful.

No, this will not work; your alkaloids will be in salt form and you do not want to try smoking salts. Basification creates freebased molecules; ideal for vaping. Also, you should not do this as this grass contains gramine, a toxic substance that you do not want to be putting into your body. There are currently several members working on isolating pure dmt from phalaris grass and the gramine separation (at least, last time I checked) is still an issue. Finally, you should not be doing ANY extraction in a house where you are not authorized to do so. If you need rationale behind that, feel free to read this thread and/or pm me or the other mods.

Okay thanks for the reply. I will not smoke the salts and will not be doing any extraction in the house. However i hear that this strain is mainly N,N DMT and there isn't much else, so this may sound weird, but if i juice the grass and dry it out, could i cut it up into a fine-ish powder and snort it? (sorry if i come across as foolish)

Well... I guess if you are %100 sure that it is the exact strain you think it is... and that you harvested it during the same time of year that the study you are referencing did (alkaloid content can vary greatly over the grasses life)... and you %100 trust the study in the first place.... then I guess you may feel safe snorting the powdered remains of your juiced grass.

However, I think you may be making some dangerous assumptions about the grass you have (and what may or may not be inside it)

I would not jump so quickly.

I do not know what snorting dried grass juice will do... it will probably not feel good at all in the nasal passageways.... it could very well make you sick. You may get a little dmt-experience from it. But, you may also be throwing up and giving your self sinus infection at the same time.

I believe your time and efforts would be better used learning (really learning well) to ID the mushrooms in your neck in the woods. Then you can have a great...relatively risk free experience.

Yeah I've decided against snorting dried grass juice powder (boy does that sound weird) and deciding to take it orally with syrian rue seeds ( I am growing caapi but they are fairly young at the moment). I ordered the grass from a vendor and I trust that the seeds are true, I'll really be able to tell when the grass is fully mature. Oh and I have tried to hunt for subbs but have had no luck, I live in a suburban part of kansas and theres not much 'hot spots'.

What on earth does that mean, "mostly" dmt? Well, there's still gramine in it, and you won't know the amount.

Don't ingest phalaris extracts/juice unless you KNOW you can get rid of the gramine.

just be carefull. I would even suggest that if you do go the oral route... I would read up about gramine and maoi (i don't know anything but I know the info is out there) and probably test the dose of grass without maoi. you won't trip but you will be able to "test" the grass without complicating the matter with hallucinations.
