Jungle spice using Isobutanol and Xylene

I thought this topic could be used by other people with no easy access to pure xylene and toluene.

Since the use of (pure) xylene and toluene for thinner is restricted in Holland since a few years ago, I was looking for an alternative. I found thinner in the shop containing isobutanol and xylene in unknown proportions. So I thought to myself, it probably has the same dissolving properties as xylene and bought the stuff. At home I found out water can take about 85 g/L of isobutanol so I'd guess it prefers the xylene layer. A small amount of isobutanol would also make the water layer more apolar. My last pull was about 500 mL of the thinner, which had a nice honeylike orange colour before evaporation. It is now turning in a brown/red goo. When it's all evaporated I'll report back!

It's getting thicker and thicker... Hope I can still scrape it off after it's dry (should work though as its on a glass dish).

Alcohol as in ethanol? Because I think the alcohol would go partially to the aqueous layer, more than isobutanol. This would probably mean the some of DMT (and others) would go to the aqueous layer too (which could be circumvented by repeating the extraction I guess).

After some testing by me and some friends I can definitely say it works . A dark brown very thick oil (kind of like ear wax) was obtained. The stuff is very potent and feels a little bit different than normal DMT, the vibe is less "alien" like. I do not have an accurate scale but I would guess it's a little over a mL. Which is great because the stuff is potent as hell. We used a machine like device to smoke it (and I think my technique is getting better) and a match-head size drop every time.

One of my friends, who hadn't done psychedelics for years, saw bushmanlike entities waving at him from behind the curtain and saw the room constantly transforming. After the experience was finished he was so in shock with the whole experience that he was shaking for half an hour. He did really enjoy it. For me, I traveled in beautiful worlds and I think I have learned to surrender more to the DMT experience. After my two breakthrough doses I was in a state of bliss and laughed very hard at reality.

did you only use extraction with this stuff or you did naphtha first ? also what extraction did you do ?

I extracted with naphta first, using Noman's tek. I extracted a little over a gram from 250 g MHRB, which was kind of dissapointing but still more than enough. I think my bark was not very strong or the extraction took a long time because of the amounts I used: 250 g MHRB, 250 g NaOH, about 4 L water. I did the first extractions with 125 mL and got this off using a pipette after an hour or so after some stirring. This yielded almost nothing, so I added more NaOH to further break down the plant material and let the jar stand for days. This worked a lot better. After 5-6 pulls in total (the last two standing 4 days each) I just wanted to get everything out that was left and added about 500 mL of the (heated) thinner and stirred this 3x10 min. Then I let it stand for another 5 days or so. There may have been some DMT left that I extracted with the thinner, maybe my naphta just wasn't too good (I used "wasbenzine" and "terpentine" for dutch people).

It is not a lot 1g out of 250g. I think the culprit is the naphtha you used. Can you get some lighter fluid over there ?

How much of the jungle spice did you extract ?

About 1.5-2 mL I would guess. I didn't weigh the vial before I put in the jungle so I can't really tell the mass. In doses it's (a lot) more than the DMT from the naphta pulls together.

"Wasbenzine" is supposed to be pure naphta and "terpentine" is called white spirit in other countries I think and contains a few % of other stuff. The other stuff are aromatics so I thought it wouldn't matter. Next time I'll try lighter fluid.
