I came across this interesting article about how Jupiter and Uranus are making a close approach to Earth next week!

On a side note... Whenever there's some cosmic events going on, I always have the strangest dreams about planets and stars. Maybe it's just because it's on my mind before I go to sleep. But i'm looking forward to next week's events with Jupiter and Uranus... should make for some good dreaming!

Last night I looked outside and saw that bright 'star'. After swooping out my phone with Google Sky Map I knew for sure it was Jupiter (with Uranus pretty close it).

Kind regards,

thanks for the heads up :) time to break out the telescope, have you ever looked at Jupiter through a good scope?

It is amazing to see with your own eyes another world , with moons and clouds , and since it will be so close, I def suggest those who can , go and look at it through a good scope, It really is a great thing to witness and gives me a different perspective of where I am in the solar system and the universe.

@ the traveler: wow, that google sky map is dope!!! i wonder if blackberry has an app for that... until then, i have to do it the old fashioned way and look on my laptop ;)

@ dimitrius: thanks, i like your quote too!

@ the shaman: unfortunately, i don't own a telescope, but i've always wanted one. i'm fascinated by the cosmos... and i think it's because - what you said - it gives me a different perspective of where i am in the universe!
