Hi nexians

Just in the middle of my first extraction. I'm doing a STB using Noman's tek with 50g of MHRB.I have done 2 pulls with some ronsonol as my weapon of choice. I have put my pulls in separate jars ready for freezing. (only done 2 cuz i ran out of solvent and only had two jars).

Would jars be ok in the freezer? If so, would it be better to leave the lids off?

Also, how long do you guys recommend i freeze them for?

Cover them forsure, you dont want your freezer smelling of lighter fuel. Glass jars are fine, just be sure that you can get all the dmt out after the freeze precip, the dmt tends to stick to the glass.

You might want to evap the solvent a bit, just so its easier for the dmt to crash out when in the freezer. I usualy freeze mine when the solvent goes milky when blown on.

As for how long, depends on how cold your freezer is, the colder the better, but id say 24hrs should be good.

Cheers mate. Exactly what i wanted to hear. My pulls are evaporating over night ready for the morning freeze.

Just an idea i had. How about turning the jars upside down or sideways so the xtals can be recovered easily?

not sure about this upside/sideways idea, id be to worried about any slovent leaking out. I use a whiskey glass that i can scrape inside easily.

My first extraction I used a pyrex baking dish, like a glass lasagne dish, that way I could easily scrape up my dmt with a razor.
But whatever dmt you cant recover you could just add some warm solvent and swish that inside the jar with the leftover dmt, then just evap that on a plate or whatever.

Hmm.

I left my naphtha pulls overnight and this morning nothing seems to have evaporated.

The pulls are clear and not cloudy as what other people suggested.

Do you think I need to let it evap for a few more days?

does it not cloud when blown on?

if you want to speed up the evap put the solvent into a wider jar/pan/Pyrex. more surface area = faster evap.

or maybe you didnt collect enough dmt when doing your pulls? mine clouds up straight after i do the pull.

Pyrex baking dish with a plastic lid was the best investment I have ever made. Very easy to work with and you can scrape all of the goodies out of it so easily. Also perfect for evaporation.

Mate you are a genius. I've just blown on them for a few minutes and it has started to go cloudy.
