beautiful stuff! BTW, with what equipment are you taking those pictures (maybe I once asked you this already, dont remember) ?

how did you get it like this, freeze-fridge alternating, or ?
 
samsung 10.2 megapixel camera and i just disolved some freeze precipped spice in hot heptane then let it cool very slowly over a day or so.

check this out - ok for a first drapht - had to make it for some friends in a hurry.

so kinda simmilar proceedure - supersaturated solution allowed to get to room temp then evap slowly ? or just slow cool evap ?
