Not 100% a changa question! I like lavender – it’s pretty, smells lovely (if a little strong sometimes) and seems to be good to help you relax. Lavender is used in cooking, as an incense, in perfume, as medicine amongst other things. A very useful plant.

I have been using it as incense on charcoal, but I would like to try it in a changa mix for the colour and taste. I know people smoke lavender in herbal smoking mixes, but then people smoke all kinds of things that are quite questionable!

Is it a suitable additive for smoking? I looked on the lavender Wikipedia page, but to be honest the health precautions part I don’t understand half of!

My wife and I have been adding lavender to our weed joints for about a year now. Not much, just a few pieces.
I haven't found anything negative health from smoking it. Although smoking anything isn't good, m'kay.

Ye dried flowers/buds. The taste/smell is so strong that it gets very overpowering. We use like say 3-5 buds. Really a little goes a long way, if you want to add it to the changa, I would just crush a couple of buds into the ready made changa, then smoke away.

Also something to mention, be carefull of any additives that might be added to the store bought lavender( pesticides, color). Best to pick your own.

Yeah, it is nice to add and there are those use it - it balances out the "taste".

But you don't need much, just a few % of your overall herbs.

Smoking lavender flowers results in a heavier, thicker smoke. I'm guessing from the natural oils. It can be overwhelming if you use too much, so just start small. Really very pleasant if used in the right herb:lavender ratio.

Mortar and pestle works wonders for crushing these little guys.
