Lazy man's question.

Hi nexian,

I'm having few question about this tek , i'm actually performing it but all i get its a red/brown sticky paste.
I have soaking acacia confusa bark in lye/H2O for 2 days now , and i've try 2 time to extract with the naphta , but after evaporation i only get is this strange paste.
What am i doing wrong ?
I have put more lye this morning , thinking it wa maybe not enough a strong base.
I'm waiting for your answer before doing anything more .
I hope you can help me.

Im sure you can save it... get this red impure paste, redissolve in warm vinegar, filter to remove impurities, base again and extract again.. This should def clean it up.. Also you can try recrystallizing later.

The thing with acacia confusa is that it has a lot of NMT, which is an alkaloid that usually stays as an oil. So if after this clean up and some scrapping/rescrapping, it still doesnt harden up, you can always use some clean ethanol or acetone to redissolve and infuse some herbs, it will be perfectly active.

Just a teensy note... SWIM had pretty good results using this tek with root bark powder. It took alot longer than 4 hours but after SWIM got over being impatient the ride was a wild one. Doesn't yield too much but more than enough for 2 people to have an hour's worth of fun.

The thing here its i have a really tiny amount of this red stuff, should i let the bark longer in the lye and try later ?
And another question, what do i do with the lye after that ? put it in the toilet does not sound really ecologic.
Anyway i'm gonna try with mimosa today and see if i can do it rigth.

Hello again fellow nexian,

I have done the tek with mimosa yesterday ,
50g MHBR , 200ml/20g lye , soak for 15 hour.
This morning theres was no liquid left in my recipient , i add 100ml/10g of lye , let it soak 30 min and stir a little.
After tht i add 150ml of naphta, and i have now yellow/ orange bubble comming in the naphta.
I have let it separeted since 40 minute now but orange stuff still coming out of the brown mixture , should i take the naphta out now or waiting for the soup for not bubbling ?

Some news about first step in alchemy

the tek was done on 50g MHBR, soaking the mimo 15h and then extract 170mg
The second extraction 5h later give 110mg.
100ml/15g of basic water was added and he mimo was soaking for another 15h more and then warm up to 30-40°c (85-100°f) for 30minute then soaking 1h more because there was no more naphta. the yield for the thirst extraction was only 30mg, it was surprising.
After 3 extraxion the total amount is 310mg
The spice wans't tested at psychedelick doses yet but it smell and tast like it should.
It's not a great ratio, anyone think it's possible to get more from the same materials ?
