Leaving neverland

I just saw "leaving neverland", the 4 hour documentary about michael jackson and his alledged sexual abuse of little boys.
And though i do not want to speculate about his possible guilt or innocence, i must say that one thing does stand out to me....that whether he is guilty or innocent, the justice system failed big time here, regarding this case. Because:

-if he is innocent, then the american justice system has facilitated a very mean and ugly smearcampaign of realy horrible lies, only to squeeze some money out of an innocent man.

-if he is guilty, than his lawyers have done a little more than just defending him in court. Because then they have been facilitating the systematic sexual abuse of little boys, for well over a decade. By buying people off, by letting parents sign "i won't sue" contracts, by forcing people to give false testimonies.

In either case, the, in this case, american justice system is corrupt to the core. Not worthy of the title "justice system", because not having anything to do with justice anymore, but only with money.

And it has to be one of those two. There is no harmless scenario here. It is either facilitating slander, or facilitating rape....without a care. :cry:
 
He was rich, did whatever he wanted, and got away with it all. I'll say it, I believe Michael Jackson was a pedophile. The justice system is broken and has been for a very long time. The rich and powerful can do whatever they please. If you got the dough for a good lawyer to play around and manipulate words, you can do anything you like and get away with it.

They found child porn in his house. Its in the FBI records which can be obtained. They call it Erotic Photography or something like that because no sex, basically whole books with pics of naked boys....inside one book was the phone number to a teacher who once took a field trip to neverland...

Why would he keep that phone number in there....

These people are all so sick it make me wanna barf. Joseph Jackson, Michael Jackson,Jack Gordon, etc.etc. All obsesed with power and greed. Mafia surrounds them. Anything can be done. But I rest assured that father will teach them in the other realm and set even them free:)
 
Yeah, i guess it's all old news by now. Just like with jimmy saville.

But the thing is, i can understand that there are some very sick people out there, doing very sick things.

But here, with saville and wacko jacko, there must have been a lot of normal people, who wheren't pedophiles themselves, who actively helped them doing these sick things. Who knew what was going on, or must have had suspicions, and who helped to arrange meetings between saville and the little girls, or jacko and the little boys.
And in MJ's case, some of them where lawyers, who even used the law itself to accomplish this.

How those people can live with themselves is just beyond me. They literally handed him these little boys, knowing damn well what kind of things awaited them in that phoney disneyland knock-off of his.

If i would find out that my mother or father, or a brother or sister of me did that, i would seriously lose all my respect for them.
 
One thing that confuses me is how so many people complain that the US justice system "no longer has anything to do with justice".
When did it ever?
Thomas Jefferson campaigned to have all homosexuals forcibly castrated. When it was suggested that it might be excessive, he gave the alternate option of having them executed.
This country was founded on the principal of legal rape of ones wife.

Death penalty...

The government we have now is more or less the most just government we have ever had in our history.
As sad as that is.

Additionally, describe any culture, viewed under an historic microscope, that lacks relative barbarism. When was it that homonids "became" humans, saddled with requisite moral/ethical agency?

Might it be, as demographics and ascendency suggest, in a millennium hence, the "yellow man" will assume the "white mans" burden? Passing the baton, so to speak.

Yes, you are right. It is not typically an american or a western thing even.

I guess i'm just shocked by how surreal all of this realy is. It is just like the jimmy saville case. Maybe it is even worse in a sense, because with MJ it was all so much more obvious.

And then there are all these fans, who are fanatically defending the guy, in complete denial.
Threatening journalists and victims.

And they come up with these lame excuses like: "he was only sleeping with little boys because he loved childeren so much that he always wanted to be with them, and he was so pure and innocent that the very thought that people would find that weird or suspicious never even occurred to him".

And i agree that there is no direct proof that he is guilty. But the fact that people do not find it at least somewhat disturbing that a grown man sleeps with little boys he doesn't even know very well, or even try to explain all of it away with this "pure and innocent" bullsit baffles me.

Nobody is realy that naive. To be quite honest....maybe this is because i am an insensitive asshole, but those excuses even make me laugh.

Maybe the reason that so many people are totally devoted to michael jackson, is because everything about this guy was fake. He was a fantasyfigure, a fictitious character, a cartoon. His music was never exceptional. The hype was. And it was all hype.

I think the fans maybe didn't even care for his music that much. It is the hype itself they're in love with. The mass hysteria.
Something to lose yourself in, like a drug. Like it doesn't matter what you follow, as long as you follow it with millions of others.
 
Yeah Dragonrider, its all hype! But he is 100% guilty in my book. No doubt in my mind. Any grown man that gives exorbitant amount of attention to children is a pedophile. This is the first sign of a pedrast, and the attention makes the children uncomftorble but the parents allow it...

Do you know about Jerry Epstein? He's a convicted biollionare pedtrast who was neighboor to Bill Cosby. These two along with Chris Tucker, Donald Trump (friends with Epstein), Mike Tyson, and Michael Jackson used to take private jets together. Talk about a rape fest!...Also the Nickelodeon producer Dan Shneider has pictures with 12 year old girls on his lap...he produced shows like The Amanda Show, I Carly, Drake and Josh, etc. All of them extremley popular shows of 2005 for KIDS, and this guy wouldnt stop putting scenes about FEET on the show. Particularly little boys and girls feet...there are whole compilations on youtube...what a weirdo...

Kevin Spacey was accused of raping a 12 year old and said "yeah, im gay". WTF?

I have played in rock bands since I was 13...I know how pedrast infiltrate places with kids and end up abusing them sexually.

I think Hollywood is chalk full of these people. Woody Allen, Roman Polanski...there are so so many.
 
One of the most difficult things I've ever watched in my life. I had to pause it constantly and take breathers to calm myself down. Aside from the children being molested, I was deeply upset with how the public handled the whole situation.

We might not be powerful enough to stop these celebrities, but to me, it seems we as a public have failed these kids. Obviously, the parents and the justice system failed them as well, but we as a public continue to support known criminals. People have cursed out the victims and sent them death threats. How can you stop someone who has more support than the victim?

We can no longer separate the person from their art, if you support someone's art you support them. Imagine if the public banded together to take down Michael Jackson instead of making excuses for him. We continue to get upset and riled up over the wrong things. I know it hurts to have your idol be a complete piece of sh*t, and I know it hurts when your judgment was wrong, but you have to get over your denial and see the truth. If MJ didn't have all the money and resources in the world, he still might have molested children, but he would have been taken down the second it was known.

If you watch the documentary, you see it's not only the direct victims who have been harmed but everyone around them and in their lives. How can you as a parent forgive yourself for letting your child sleep with an adult? How can you as their wife not get frustrated when your husband won't leave his bed and do his duties because he's depressed about something he won't tell you about? It's easy to give sympathy, but difficult to understand what they went through.

There's really too much to say about this. I'm upset with the public more than anything. We're too easily manipulated, we're too gullible and naive, and we have no backbone. But, why is this? Is it because we loved to be entertained? Do we not want to put in an effort? Is our empathy too low, do we only care about what's happening in front of us? I have no answers, only questions. I'm frustrated and pissed for all of those that went through this horror, but what can I do? Really? What can any of us do?


Adding to my post... I wanted to bring up the fact that one of the jurors said, "I disliked when she snapped her fingers at me, don't snap your fingers at me, lady." and gave a wink. I'm assuming the she is part of the plaintiff's side. She put her feelings in the case, not the facts. I get cases like this are decided by a jury in the end, but maybe we should handle "superstar" celebrity cases differently?

Well, if the OJ case taught anything it is that exactly.
The problem though is not that they are famous, but filthy rich. Look up Jeffrey Epstein, he was convicted of abusing a minor but managed to reduce it to soliciting a prostitute and got time in jail...but he could actually not be in jail all day and only sleep there at night. Does this treetment have anything to do with him being a biollionare?
