Limonene question

an elf friend told me that you can use vinegar to pull the spice out of limonene solution (i.e. mix the limonene pull with the vinegar, shake and leave to seperate then siphon vinegar and evap to leave the spice)

does anybody here have any actual experience with this method and of its effectiveness? and if so how does it compare to doing a fasa on the limonene?

have you stumbled over this BLAB_-_The_Big_Leisurely_AB yet ? It's an limonene tek, that goes both ways.

In short, you can't use FASA but FASI. When you pull with vinegar, you end up with dark/sticky dmt-acetate which can be further purified. The idea is that FASI is superior to vinegar because you could end up with nice furmarate crystals maybe growing as soon as you add FASI.

I have not compared both yet, but most probably will do this soon.

I have serious problems with limonene and FASI, for me the IPA doesn't really take much fumaric acid, the furmarates are really dark (even after 3 IPA washes just grey and maybe would profit from re-x) and the limonene as the washes are really cloudy/milky all the time so that working this way takes me already over a week and I wonder if I will be able to get the goodies out of the soup soon.
