Liquid Nitrogen for Freeze Precip

Hey all, So I'm getting ready to embark on my first extraction, I'm going to use Cyb's Hybrid STB Tek. But I also am very familiar and have a lot of liquid nitrogen available to me, so I was wondering if once I've separated the naphtha from the acidic , could you use some sort of glass "double boiler" set up with LN2 on bottom to precipitate the crystals, then removing as much naphtha as possible and drying the rest with a fan. I realize you would also have to be careful not to accidentally freeze the naphtha as well, but it should be theoretically possible right?

Hello, my thoughts were to freeze the solvent slowly so as to 'precipitate' the DMT from the Naphtha. Just a cool freezer will do the job perfectly.. But experiment away. Liquid N might be too fast and trap some solvent, so when it warms you will still need to evap.... Dont over complicate your first extraction maybe..

Seems like it would work theoretically but practically it seems unnecessary. Besides the slower you participate the naphtha the bigger less spread crystals you get. Your best bet is to put it in the fridge for 6 hours then move it to the freezer. If you participate it to fast the DMT will be all spread out in small crystals uneasy to scrape.

Thanks for the advice guys, I guess I'll go for the freezer method the first time, I wish I had a larger quantity of MHRB so I could do two extractions to see the difference. Hopefully at some point I have time to do a side by side extraction to test the difference, I would love to use the nitrogen and then recrystalize with the slow evaporating naphtha tek to get those beautiful giant crystals!!!
