Greetings fellow seekers,
I've been a long time peruser of this forum and finally decided to join and participate and maybe even contribute what I can, where I can. After posting about my recent experience with vaping DMT I thought I should introduce myself.
I'm 33 years old and I've only recently answered the calling of mother ayahuasca. She changed my life for the better, not that I was a down and out loser but I was really just going through the motions in life and not entirely happy. Now I feel present, and aware. I'm actively participating in life, not just counting the days until the next thing whatever that may be.
My history with psychedelic substances in long and interrupted. I started with psilocybin and marijuana in my teens and sampled LSD only once. I had a few experiences when I truly felt connected to the world and once that was quite dark. Over my twenties I had the odd experience with psilocybin and a streak with LSD until I had a dark experience and never went back. I've always smoked marijuana and often, until ayahuasca came calling, then I dropped her like a bad habit for many months. These days we can have a relationship without getting out of control.
My first information on psychedelics was "Food of the Gods" by Terence Mckenna. The book helped my to develop a mostly healthy relationship with the teacher plants. DMT was something I was very interested in and absolutely terrified of at the same time. I made attempts to seek it out during my twenties but to no avail. I had pretty much forgotten entirely about its existence until a friend came and told me about their wonderful experience with ayahuasca. Suddenly it was popping up everywhere, so I answered the call and I'm so glad I did.
I plan on continuing to journey and develop myself mentally and spiritually through the plant assists until one day I can achieve altered states with breathwork and meditation. You all are pretty awesome here and I am glad to be a part and hopefully give back to the community.
Peace, Love and Happiness.
