Just going to explain SWIMS experiance lastnight

I received a amount of the spice of a friend who had bought some back after a bush bash.
Decided it would be a good idea to give it a go asap as I hasnt been able to source any spice for a while ! ( Garden is still ''growing'')
The spice i received was freebase i think... ill post a pic later if someone can help with identification
1st does was eyed out using water-bong method (i know i should be using scales but mine were unfortunately broken by a friend recently =[ ).

Very Intense onset much larger buzzing and vibratory noise on the onset....
A amazing adventure... kaleidoscopes of color and patterns of amazing structure.
The only thing that bothered me a tiny was personally i didnt feel the journey as i have felt before. Its very hard to describe with words.
I felt as thought i had a experience i wasn't able to translate it at all, previously i have been able to make sence of some of the smaller aspects of my other experiances.

After about 2 hours i decieded with my friend that we would give it another go to see if i could expand on what had happened before.
Loaded up a dose for my friend and watched him blastoff, i can remember packing my own and smokeing it.
It was more intense that i could have imagined, i must have packed a extremely large amount which in hindsight i wish i hadn't!
I remember a lot more now after a lot of thoughts and meditation on the matter.

I felt as thought i was in a void and i did truely feel like i was dieing. I remember even one point having to urge myself to breath and taking a gasp of air.
I was woundering if this could be a combination of things.
Eg: 1. Dosing larger than normall for the 1st time
2. Me not being ready for where that amount of spice will take me.

Just expanding on point number two there, while i was in the void i can remember feeling as thought information was trying to come to me, but due to the insane intensity my mind was focused onto survival and panic rather and absorbtion and retention. Has anybody experianced anything like this ?

Thanks for all your help !
Good luck with your travels and
Take care !!!
Hegs!

I've been overwhelmed by information with too much to understand. Try having a smaller dose to get more from that realm. On the other hand, you could try a tad more spice and go for the next level.

As far as dieing: imho this is how your mind holds on, and is a form of resistance. Accept it all, let go. Relax and be the experience. This is a really important lesson the spice teaches, and it can be used in day to day life to help clear your mind: "this is happening, I accept it".

Hi Hegs :)

It seems a breakthrough dose really does involve becoming unconscious, your body sleeps and dreams, and during this dream, you die.

You die. That's heavy. This DMT molecule lets your spirit see what you see when you die. So the DMT molecule lets you "taste death".

"DMT: if you don't feel yourself die, you didn't do enough." Have we joined a death cult just like the tibetans and ancient egyptians?

What's next? Weird slogans like "Die to Live." "We die everyday to live more fully." "Experiencing death allows us to experience life."

By the way, thus is all mere speculation based on other peoples' reports, I still haven't tried DMT, and thus haven't consciously died.

Thanks for the kind words help and guidence guys.
Had a fairly low dose lastnight with a friend in order to just deep my feet in...
Was had a very nice trip with hardly any visuals mainly just feel..

I think I have learnt a little more about my previous post. I feel as thought when im upping the dose it is to much for me and i can feel myself struggling to let go.
I was comtemplating maybe trying a different administration method such as Pharmahuasca and Ayahuasca so im going to have to wait a little for my plants to grow up.
I feel almost as though i will not be able to get the fullest out of my dmt experience untill i am able to let go fully. The smaller dose really highlighted this to me in a good way!

Ive made another couple of decisions..
I am no longer going to sandwich my spice with MJ as i do not feel that work the best together.
So im going to hold of on my expeditions for at least a couple of weeks untill a herb package i have order has arrived.
When it does im going to try Calea zacatechichi - Mexican Dream Herb sandwich'ed with the spice and see how that goes !

I agree with azrael on upping the dose (only slightly), and I've never felt anything so close to death as I have with DMT. Once again, as azreal said, don't fight it, just accept the experience as totally as you can and realise that death is nothing to fear. At least thats how I feel and it works for me. I realise this may not hold true for all. Hope I helped in some way.

I have absolutely NOT joined a 'death cult'; and I seriously doubt anyone here would say they have either.

I completely disagree with this statement as well. That is not a yardstick I'd use in terms of breakthroughs.

Overall, Ya, you give the impression that the intention of people taking spice is to experience death, and I think that is misguided and frankly wrong. It may be your intention, but it has never been mine.

However, the experience of dying in hyperspace can happen, and on a number of levels:

There is often 'ego death' - a dissolution of the sense of self; though a point of awareness remains.

And yes, some have reported the feeling of physically dying.

If you experience anything like this, you may find it helps to surrender to it completely. Relax into it. Don't hang onto your ego or your body; try not to be afraid.

I've read lots of reports from people who say they have felt like they've stopped breathing; but when there's a sitter, they say the traveller was breathing peacefully throughout. So it may be that the shift in our sense of time means it feels like a LOT more is going on between breaths.

It canreally help to focus on your breathing before launching; getting into long, slow calm deep breathing. I find this carries through to hyperspace, and settles any preflight nerves.

Remember, no matter what we see/feel/experience In there, everyone has come back so far! The experience of losing your body or ego/sense of self can be incredibly liberating, and open up infinite vistas. So try to embrace it.

safe travels

This is attaching a very negative connotation to death worship. At least in the Tibetan book of the dead i do not believe it is even truly death that is being described but rather the experience of ego death or enlightenment. Personally i would have no problem saying that i espouse this belief because it really does not carry any negative weight. I understand that this is a common misconception and is one mainly created by vast cultural differences. We (ie modern western peoples)tend to have a very negative view of death however this is not the case in all cultures. i would urge people to take the time to educate themselves before lableing ancient belief systems as "death cults"
