low-dose anxiety... going back?

So after having my first breakthrough experience about 20 days ago which was essentially the most terrifying, awesome, profound - (did I say terrifying?) - thing I've ever imagined, I've finally worked up the nerve to acquire a bit more of the spice. My last experience was what I seriously thought was "Hell" at the time, and it was... somewhat uncomfortable to say the least.

Yet over the following weeks I found that my all of my perceptions were shifting. I've been caught in a sort of revelatory, insightful, and intuitive state of mind, and I fully attribute this to my DMT experience. It's like the revelations I've experienced on mushrooms or acid, except that they occur during everyday life, and actually stick around, like my eyes are opened a bit wider. I feel like I've learned more in the past 20 days after doing DMT than I have from any other individual drug experience.

So I smoked a little earlier today.. Nowhere near a breakthrough dose, as I am definitely nervous, and honestly, pretty scared. That low dose seemed so.. creepy. I've heard about low-dose anxiety... I ended up feeling very uncomfortable and getting nauseous. Still I had interesting revelations, and all day since I've been very "tuned in".

This stuff terrifies me, truthfully, but I hear the call and I want to go back and go all the way. I feel like it will be worth it if I can conquer my fear. If a breakthrough experience can be as positive as my last one was negative, what else in this life could compare? So I want to go back... What are some techniques to have a more positive experience, especially for someone who has been burned before by this stuff? What do you do to foster the proper launch trajectory?

Next time I attempt a breakthrough I'm probably going to be indoors in a lit room, maybe with familiar music playing? I'm going to meditate before-hand, and as I go into it, I'm going to say, "Please be gentle, please be gentle." I've heard that smiling has a powerful effect. What else should I know?

One more thing.. What do you think about easing yourself up to the breakthrough dose, say, over the course of 3-4 hits, not necessarily one RIGHT after the other, but maybe a minute or two in between? (I've got changa.) By the 2nd hit I might have lost the will to do more, so maybe that's not feasible.. =D

Thanks for reading.. It's nice to have a little but of support when taking your first steps into this world:
