I was curious, can I start this tek with and A/B vinegar boil then hit it with the lye and wind up with the same results of the tek?

In theroy I am working with 34g sanpedro cacti (dry) that has been vinegar boiled, filtered and reduced to 1 cup portions.

I like the tek just not sure if starting with an A/B acid boil changes the out come of the tek.

i would assume it would alter the consistency, so you probably wouldn't have to add your lye in a dangerous fashion.

also you would probably need a bit more base.


other than that i would presume it should be fine.

Thank you for the confirmation. I was kind of sure but just not understanding the science behind it all yet to know for sure.

Plus I am getting to the end of my powder and cautious about mistakes. :!:

My biggest break thru from being on this site for a week is the understand of how the alks drift in and out of solutions based on ph levels. Fun science and looking forward to posting some results soon.
