MAOI Reaction?

I'm currently taking a medical patch known as "Emsam". It is an MAOI patch that releases about 12mg of the stuff into my bloodstream during the course of the day. My question is, would smoking DMT while on the patch cause my body to go all FUBAR? Also, if I take the patch off, the active ingredient remains in my system; for how long I don't know.

A quick search shows me Emsam = selegiline, which is an irreversible MAO-B inhibitor, and in higher doses it may inhibit some MAO-A too. DMT is mostly metabolized by MAO-A, which means depending on the dosage you take, your selegiline wont affect much the DMT experience, but it also may potentiate it. Just start at lower doses to be prudent.

I think your biggest concern taking this is actually your diet, other medication and substances like MDMA and so on....

I'm also interested in the back story of how you got the Emsam. Are you taking it for something or is it for recreational/spiritual purposes?

I am taking it as a treatment for depression. I asked the question because I plan on taking DMT, as soon as possible, and wanted to know if it cause any major (i.e. fatal) physiological side effects. Also, does Emsam offer any kind of spiritual/hallucinogenic uses?
