After my first trip into hyperspace, I for some reason have an obession developing about meditation, binural beats and reiki healing music, along with music and sound already being a huge part of my life they now seam to be the forefront of what I want to do.

Since trying meditation to theta waves and om chants, I felt like I was literally tripping on the edges of DMT space for what seemed like ages but was only 51 minutes... well still, considering I've only ever been able to meditate for 5-6 minutes, 51 minutes is pretty mad for me 0.o

Again, smoking marijuana pure now since the experience, I still havn't smoked a ciggarette (9 days now) it's blowing my head off, almost feeling like I'm about to get launched into dmt space and at times it feels like I'm tripping on acid, in fact right now it feels like I'm tripping on acid haha

anyone shed light on this?

What you describe here has been my journey to this point in time. My "trips" come to me through meditation. I have NEVER smoked DMT.

Now that I think about it, I probably should have said that before. Now you know:oops:

This is the "ascension" I keep refering to. The ability to access the higher/other realms without imbibing substances.

I do engage with the merry herb daily though, I should mention that too I guess

I made a thread in the past asking for members views on meditation and DMT, and sharing the teachings of DMT without administering DMT. You can check it out here: I'm sick of following my dreams - Welcome discussion - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus

I certainly enjoy meditation more after dabbling in psychedelics. At the same time psychedelics were pretty much what I was looking for in meditation. Binural beats are something I haven't looked into, google here I come.

Hey there Mystic0

Welcome to the Nexus. I think you will find this to be a very special forum, and one of the few places that you might actually get some decent answers to these kind of questions.

First off, this is somewhat synchronous in that I have been ranting about this very topic for a while now on a few threads. IMHO Meditation is an essential skill for psychonauts, and one's meditation practice forms a kind of feedback loop with one's psychedelic journeying.

Basically, my feeling on the matter is that meditating and tripping are related in the same way that swimming is related to surfing. You can surely surf without being able to swim... but it is somewhat foolhardy, if only because you are likely to lose your surfboard at some point if you surf in even moderate waves for any length of time.

The skill set you develop when meditating contains all the essential navigation tools for hardcore tripping. This includes the basic triumvirate of mental ability... awareness, focused intent, and willpower. With these three things alone, you can trip all over the dimensions, travel hyperspace highways of bliss, and crisscross the galaxy... dead sober. So, with a little rocket fuel in your tank, just think what is possible.

For me tripping without some mental discipline, an ability to let go, and some proficiency at controlling and focusing your monkey mind is a recipe for disaster. Maybe not right away, or on your first few trips even... but eventually. The hyperslap comes down hard on people who journey too much without keeping their vessel (your mind) in good repair. It is not unlike driving across the Gobi desert in a car that hasn't been serviced... scuba diving with equipment that could be unreliable... jumping out of an airplane with a parachute that wasn't packed properly or given a good pre-flight examination.

Anyway, be well. I hope you find a hearty welcome here in these hallowed halls.

Play these two together, start them at exactly the same time with a pair of stereo headphones on, enjoy the ride :)

BTW, if you enjoy binaural beats, hemi-sync or other brainwave entrainment techniques... do yourself a big favor and invest in a good light & sound brain machine. (also known as AVS)

These strobe glasses mind machines are an order of magnitude more effective than audio only entrainment. And oh how they can make basic meditation super psychedelic... and psychedelic meditation totally freaking incredible.

A friend of mine mentioned that the Om sound triggers chemical reactions in parts of the brain, including possible the pinial gland, so meditation could indeed causes a release of DMT, I'm very interested in this idea now, could you perhaps tell me more about your meditation methods?

Thank you :) Will be looking into this tonight :D

That's a very good metaphor Hyperspace Fool, about the surfing and swimming. I've never looked at meditation and psychedelics like that, though I do try to meditate everyday. Ever since this one dmt trip I had, I've been more interested in meditation. I do feel like both mediation and psychedlics go great together, whether you're mediating before or during a trip, or just in everyday life. And I agree with Hyperspace Fool when he says the skill set you devolop when meditating contains all the essential navigation tools for tripping.

Yup.

(I say, still aching from my last hyperslap)

IMO it takes a lot of hard work, much time and dedication to attain any sort of mental discipline or any real proficiency in meditation.

Methods vary by mood. I use sitting, lying down, and dancing. I will elaborate on what I mean by dancing...

When I dance, neither of my feet leave the ground. I feel that grounded=centered. From there I find the rhythm (music, my own beat, flow of the nature around me). Dancing is like playing an instrument(which is the same proper meditation as dancing but a different form of expression). Specifically the guitar. To me, up-down=strum and side-side=melody.

Our energy chakras are center stage. The spirit molecule experience is an instant and INTENSE opening of the indigo chakra. The third eye chakra.

audio stimulation is an immensely powerful tool. More powerful that any of our other 4 PHYSICAL senses. Vibrations. Frequency. Another continued theme of spectra.
Experiment with what you listen to more than any other stimuli is the best advice can give.

Om chants affect all of your bodily chakras, feel them out.

Where your attention goes, your energy flows.

you are an interesting character URBY, and i am glad you were born... but still... you've admitted several times to having not experienced a DMT journey... i myself, after many such journeys, am completely unqualified to state with any certainty what a "spirit molecule experience is.".. while your enthusiasm is duly noted, you should maybe refrain from attempting to define the parameters of an experience you've yet to peruse...

You make an extremely valid point Leon. I will watch my wording.

Im not saying you implied what I am about to ask...I lack the quality of being subtle. Life issue.

Do you disagree with that statement?
