which is a better way to salt the xylene pulls from some cactus and why.
so far swim has had good success with hcl - would the sulphate have any advantages over it - eg purity ?
other than weighing more than the hcl - what other differences are there between the 2.
Also citrates, tartrates, fumarates - any reason to go those routes ?
swims mesc is comming out almost white on a normal cactus procedure, any good reasons to change what he is doing ?

Xylene is obsolete for mescaline extraction. It's very toxic and one of the worst smelling solvents in the world. D-limonene is more effective, non-toxic, 100% natural, and it actually smells like oranges instead of the insides of a car engine.

Take a look at these two techs based on d-limonene (xylene could be used instead but with smaller yields):

Pure white mescaline HCl from cactus using d-limonene (orange oil)

Non toxic food safe extraction of mescaline using d-limonene (orange oil)

The first produces mescaline HCl. Not a mixed alkaloid extract, but 99% pure white odorless mescaline HCl if done right.

There is no real advantage to using sulfuric acid. In fact it’s extremely dangerous. I highly recommend not using it at all. You can get the same level of purity with hydrochloric acid in that tech above if you clean it properly. Plus the end result is more potent by weight.
