A bit more detail on the tek procedure would help, but theres only one way to tell.

Taste a bit. Should be very bitter, and dissolve easily in water.

If it is mescaline, bravo. Thats some clean looking mesc you have there.

Did you wash your end product with anything like acetone?

Once again, tek details would help alot.

i followed the tek by letters. With oil and vinegar. After the first run i got alot of brown anythink and i restarted the tek. dissolve in water, add lye and do serverals oil vinegar pulls. this ist what i get. The taste, more salty then bitter but they dissolved very quikly in my moth.
As i know, mesc acetate need a MEK wash, the acetone wash should be for hcl. Hm, mesc acetae should be soluble in aceton, so what about dissolve the cristalls in acetone, filtering and evaporated the acetone?

I know, 4grams of mescaline are not possible. What can i do wiht the sodium acetate? I think a simple Mek wash is not the right way, maybe i have to transform this salts before.

The main question is: what was going wrong here? Maybe it was wrong to repeat the tek with the impure stuff?
