Looks like I added the naphtha with some water by accident and quite a bit of the water is frozen now (I think). Any advice on the best way to get the water out of there?
I would let it melt and transfer to something that makes it easy for you to decant the solvent without bringing any water with it (Water is heavier than naphtha/heptane so it will be the bottom layer). A beaker with a pour spout is the best vessel for that, but a professional pipette or separatory funnel would be the easiest. You will have some yield loss either way.
Why was there water in the solvent? Did you do a sodium carbonate wash or something?
