MHRB Package Was Opened On Arrival

My order of MHRB just came today and I noticed that the package had been torn open in such a fashion that looked very accidental and put just a small hole on the plastic bag inside. I normally would not be concerned but with all the recent commotion over mimosa and other legal materials I'm a little spooked. Not many private residences have been raided as far as I know, but having my package arrive with the material visible makes me nervous as even I think it looks suspicious to receive a package of purple powder.

I'm probably over reacting but my previous order was seized in the whole BBB raid so yeah...
 
ummm i personally wouldnt be to conserned,
i worked for UPS for 5 years,
tons up packages get ripped everyday....
the warehouse workers could give a sh** what it is:d .
 
In the last 2 years or so I've had many parcels arrive in the mail that had been poked open on a corner, packages containing things like books etc... I think they take a quick peek inside as some new security measures to make sure it's not a bomb or anything. If the postals where really curious I don't think they'd mistake even powdered mhrb for a bomb or any type of contraband. But it does make you wish to buy whole bark pieces instead of powdered stuff.
 
If you are in the UK (and other places) then it's more likely that a dodgy posty in the sorting office is looking for free gifts. Customs officials don't poke little holes, they tend to open it, stick it back together again and paste a notification on it that it has been officially opened.
 
Seeing as it is a legally grey area substance - what do you think the chances are of you being put on some kind of list if customs do open it?

I have always ordered from a domesic supplier to avoid this type of paranoia, despite the imported stuff being way cheaper. Customs are best avoided!!
 
I got skimped for 200grams off a kilo of bark i ordered off eBay one time.....I ordered some bark a few days before the BBB raid and got my order! I got LUCKY

What's UPS's official policy on drugs? I assume they're pressured pretty heavily by the government to at least go through to motions of trying to sniff out (literally?) bricks of coke and whatnot, but from a corporate perspective it certainly does them no good to investigate the possible uses of random roots and flowers.
 
Swim wouldn't worry either. Swims foaf didn't receive his package of mj. Few days later he got a love letter in the mail from the postal inspection. His dumb sender didnt put a return address on it. Nothing ever happened, so swim woulnt worry about some mhrb, being its still legal and all.

All of my packages coming from south of the USA all have that "little hole" in them.

It is my opinion that customs cuts a small hole and uses some sort of sterioscopics (sp, wrong word maybe, to lazy right now to look it up) to check and make sure there is no hidden cocain or herion...they probably take a small sample as well, again to test for C or H....once they know that it is not covered in these substances it goes through.

They would NOT send it through if they thought it was drugs, they would confiscate it or do a sting drop off and have you sign. Since neither happened I would be overly worried.
 
From all that I've read and heard first-hand, UPS and FedEx are way more likely to bust you for shipping stuff than the good ol postal service. A friend of mine worked in a FedEx distribution facility and said they busted stuff all the time with x-ray machines and the like.

Regarding customs, as the poster above said if they were going to raid you they'd seal it up nice and do a controlled delivery. Otherwise, it's usually a "love letter" or they just let it go through - as what happened with you.
 
My last order from Brazil came sliced open and taped back up with US Customs tape:shock: . Don't sweat it.
