Mimosa Hostilis STB extraction report

And now for some more power ..
The right jar pic are crystals i´ve extracted over the last month and re-x-ed at least three times. The middle one is all from the first two pulls i did during this report. I don´t think they need any cleaning.
The 3d one is the 3rd pull. This one i will re-x once when i get the little jar full.
The right jar is exactly as tall as a normal zippo lighter.

almost no difference in 3 re-x and no re-x in your product. That's how you know you did a great job. Lol. Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
What you should do now is reabsorb your right most jar into naptha and let it air dry in that jar to form beautiful crystals!

Only tried the pure one and that only 4 or 5 times. No breakthroughs .. but nice first steps in hyperspace.livinglife said:

Here we go. I still found some impurities in the glass after adding warm naphta. I removed it as good as possible with my eyedropper pipet thing.
Here pics of the saturated naphta before putting it in the fridge and after 15 minutes. It turned milky real quick.
How often should i swith from fridge to room temperature ?

Don't worry about doing the fridge<->rt tek. That was for not wanting to evaporate any naptha. What you want to do is just let that shotglass sit in room temp for many days with your baking sheet papers over the top, rubber banded down with a single hole in the paper til its fully evapped.

I put some toiletpaper (clean) on the glass and rubber banded it.Du57mi73 said:

They all cluster in the bottom, so not any single giant crystals forming i think.

I warmed up the solution again to dissolve the crystals so perhaps they would rather start forming one big crystal in the bottom. Is that wise ? (see small pic)

Yes. DMT has a tendency to form multiple crystals instead of one. But by doing what youjust did you cause the multiple crystals to grow upon each other. You've got great intuition when it comes to this whole process.

About the TP .. people seem to re-use as much as possible here .. so i thought i´d point it out
The crystal really are gorgeous .. i spend hours looking at them to see if i can watch them grow. I think i can´t. But i will keep on trying.

Meanwhile .. i´ve done two pulls of a mimosa batch i got from another supplier. This looks a little cleaner, as the naphta stays a little cleaner.
The second pull was about 4 hours after the first, but for the socond pull i warmed up the jar with soup and naphta in a hot water bath for about an hour. So it was pretty warm when pulled.
It think i got much more of the jimjam things out there. So thats also interesting. Someone mentioned earlier that the only way to get a lot of the plant oils and extras out, was to pull the naphta warm.

I use a Nikon d700. But it´s mainly the lens that makes these pics possible. For these pics i used a 105mm micro lens. And also i used a tripod .. that´s very important when doing these kinda close-ups.alert said:

I have a question about Changa again. In the awesome thread on Changa, the OP mentions that he first lets Lemon balm sit in his IPA for a while, so the final Changa gets scented with the scent of the lemon balm.
So Ive picked some lemon balm and other herbs and put it in some acetone, as i can't find IPA here. Will that work too ? And do the herbs need to be dried first ? Or will fresh herbs work better ?
