greetings fellow travelers, im here to ask a question to the ones experienced with mimosa. ive noticed that some people claim that you need 6-10g of mimosa to have a "threshold experience" which i never understood because i have a mild-moderate experience on 2.75-3g of mimosa. so my main question here is why do you think people need such a high amount for threshold? can it possibly be that they arent waiting long enough for the harmalas? or that theyre dosing too low on harmalas making the dmt pretty much ineffective? because everyone whos drank mimosa with me has intense experience on sub 5g, my theories is possibly mimosa was weaker 10 or so years ago compared to now or that people dont time the doses correctly and end up destroying most of the dmt. because on friday i had about 2.85g of mimosa and had an experience id consider to close to about 2.5-3g of mushrooms in terms of psychedelic effect, i literally time traveled millions of years into the past and was being giving teachings on earth and the barbaric nature of living has not changed, saw how instead of running from physical "beasts" we now have to run from technology, porn and addictions that are so common, that in reality were still cavemen trying to survive the difficult terrain of earth. my brother yesterday had 1.5-2g of mimosa and had an experience he'd consider "intense". really curious on others opinions and take-aways.

regards, mimosaquero.

why do you think people need such a high amount for threshold?
I'd guess it depends on your dose of rue/harmalas. People want a simple step-by-step guide on how to get high instead of investing time and learning how maoi works. So they underdose or miss the window for dmt ingestion. 5g of mimosa is a world-shattering breakthrough dose in 99% of cases. If you don't get a proper effect, it means that dmt gets destroyed by mao. However, I'd say it's for the best. No one is really prepared to face 5g of mimosa with proper inhibition in the beginning. It's just too much, honestly. Then most see rue/caapi just as a dmt activator, when it's actually the main force behind the experience 😮‍💨

i agree. 3-4g is usually enough for me most of the time lmao. i took 5g when my brother came to visit me a few months back and it felt like those over the top dramatic trip simulations you can watch on youtube :ROFLMAO: . intense OEV and CEV.

I won't say what my range is, but of all the MHRB I've ever worked with I'd never suggest anyone just take fully MAO Inhibited leaps into even a full 5g of MHRB,
especially not alone. Can be akin to being chucked into a deep end of a pool as a learning to swim experience.

id say 1g-1.5g with 3g-3.5g of rue is good for a starter dose but you need a sitter.

Yes, barks like mimosa or acacia require extra care. It's just a stronger and more chaotic experience compared to leaves. Acacia is a bit gentler in that regard, but strong doses could still feel overwhelming. I got a full system breakdown on mimosa quite a few times, when even making a decision was out of the question. Getting that deep with dry leaves is close to impossible, and you need a very potent, most likely fresh material. Barks are less purgative too if you remove the tannins. Mimosa is the only one I'd investigate further. My time with acacia is over for a number of reasons. I usually drank it in two doses too. The second dose was a booster after I got into the medicine space. It was more manageable psychologically that way, but still pretty crazy 😵😵‍💫🫥🥰😊

mimosa has crazy auditory hallucinations! i hear like machine and robotic sounds everyone sounds like robots cyborgs lol. on bigger doses i also see like matrix like code but instead of nukbers its floating geometry.

These effects change depending on the individual. Like now, I get zero visions with any material, even if it's still psychedelic. Who knows how it works?
Higher doses made me allergic to LED lights in devices and noise pollution. I tape all LEDs and turn off any device producing that high-pitched electronic noise when
I'm indoors. That habit followed into everyday life too.

yeah machines and electronics sound very "evil" on mimosa for me too. i like being out in nature away from the city or in my living room with my wife during night time. i can sometimes watch movies on mimosa.

No movies for me. I work in a strict shamanic style with a proper ceremony. After many years, that container is the only thing keeping me safe.
That way, I know my program for the night and how to do it. I never go in for fun, but to work for a better day-to-day life later on. I'm not interested in exploring the space either.
For me, it's simply a medicine to remove heavy energies, realign my body, and keep my sanity. I'm not the guy to comment on other approaches. Just sharing how I do it and why.

i am def the same way. i do "shamanic" work, i just enjoy watching movies because for me i see certain movies as icaros in a way. they trigger certain emotional pathways that i wouldnt be able to do alone. music too i think everyones different though. because from shamans ive worked with in the jungle and the medicine itself ive learned icaros arent just songs theyre a production of energy that trigger emotional/thinking pathways that align with the medicine. everyones form of icaros is different though so i respect your process!

To me, any psychedelic makes me ways too much sensitive to any artificial light. I can't stand screens or heavy light while on psychedelics. I guess mydriasis induced by psychedelics explain this largely, at least for me. Not yet to the point where it affects me daily without psychedelics though, but who knows, maybe one day... I'll feel it natural to live solely by the soft light of a candle 😁

LEDs flicker like 100+ times every second lol. id imagine that becomes way more noticable on psychedelics and can be overwhelming.

Yeah, add to this a heavy harmalas dose with its fair share of tracers and stroboscopic visions and you'll be wearing sunglasses the whole time 😎😁
When tripping alone, I like to do it in the darkness or near-darkness. When I'm tripping with friends at home, they sometimes look at me curiously when I turn off the lights.

That's when the real trip begins
i enjoy low-moderate dose mimosa on nice nature walks tbh! only trails that im familiar with since the rue usally makes the world feel like its tilting like a boat lmao, as long as you know the path and dont go on uneven terrain (staying on the leveled side walk path) its usually really nice.
