I'm planning on doing an extraction here in a couple weeks with around a pound of Mimosa, I read the Erowid tek here

Erowid Mimosa Tek

and feel I have it down for the most part I was wondering though, when I go to put my jars in the freezer do I keep a lid over them? or just have them open? I was gonna use some Mason jars or something. Thanks for any help!

If its your first time extracting, maybe you'd want to do half of that amount at first at most, till you get the hang of it to do bigger extractions in the future if you want. Just make sure you take care of how all that dmt is used ;)

As for the jars, mason jars with lid sound fine. Avoid any solvent from actually touching the lids specially if they are not guaranteed BPA-free ( Phthalates: Warning to those using plastic containers/instruments in extractions - Health & Safety - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus ) . Some alu foil also works if its an organic solvent but make sure there are no bases or acids ever in contact with aluminium. You dont want to have your container opened either because your freezer (and everything inside) will be smelling of solvent later.

Lol yes I was thinking of doing 50-100g first to test the waters but thank you :) It seems fairly simple. Easier than when I grew mushrooms so I shouldn't have too much trouble methinks, I'll just stick with the lids then :P thank you endlessness

Hello again. I am starting a 50g extraction right now and so far I have put 750ml of water in my mixing jar along with 3.3 tablespoons of lye which equals out to be about 50g of lye. I have one question right now. How many grams are in one tablesppons of powdered MHRB?. I do not have my scale on me at the moment. Any help is much appreciated :) nevermind I found this

Only one of my jars so far has produced the snow globe. The one jar that has crystals has a lot. I am using a turkey baster to separate the naphtha and sometimes find I am dropping a tiny tiny amount of the black/brown bark mix goop with my naphtha for freeze precip. That shouldn't be a problem right? The layer of naphtha is just too thin to not get a tiny bit of that stuff. I have 4 jars in the freezer and just the one is snowglobing. Anyone know what it might be? the others are just cloudy. I added another tablespoon of lye to the mix and am going for pull #5

Wrong! Separate the naptha into a tall thin vessel, the goop will settle to the bottom, separate again into your jar without getting any goop in there.

I guess your first pull is snowglobing, the cloudy jars are probably not as saturated and will take longer, or may need to be pre-evaporated to saturate the solution.
