mistake during basify step [A/B tek, MHRB]

hi, it's my first dmt extraction but i didn't knew this site until now
i strictly followed the extraction tek that i found on this page Erowid DMT Vaults : Extraction : QT's DMT Extraction Guide

but here is the problem : after the deffating process, they say that i have to put warm naphtha before add the basified solution, (i did it) after shaking naptha i added the solution but the color didn't changed (i puted between 25 to 100ml of basified solution) the only change was a loooot of small bubbles in naphtha :evil:

then i saw on this site the mistake, and read on erowid this sentence : "Step 7 says to add warm naphtha to the acidic MHRB extract and shake it for five minutes before adding lye. This won't accomplish anything."

is it true ?
if not is there a solution to fix this?
am i screwed ?

Add base, add naptha, shake around, pull and repeat. If you mix up your steps, just keep doing this process.

Pulling is removing the naphtha layer and putting it into another container

Remove solvent, add more. Combine at the end and reduce them down for the freeze precipitation.

okay so that's not a real problem at all ?
i just keep put some base untill the color change(right now the extraction layer has a tranclucid/orange color) and continue the process normaly ?

That tek from erowid is really dated and has given people many problems (even with the changes stated at the top). Look at the teks in the Nexus Wiki. They are tried and tested and much easier to follow compared to QT's tek.

I would like to add, if using powdered bark, an STB would probably be easier to complete compared to an A/B for a first extraction. Also, all those defatting steps are pretty unnecessary when using MHRB, due to the low fat content.

hi again, so i did what you told me, i added more base in the solution (~20 tablespoon) and the color has just become less tranclucid and a 3rd layer has appeared between the extraction and naphtha, he's little darker than the exctraction.
at the very begining of the exctraction i just putted 50gr of MHRB,
is there not too much based solution ? i tried to read the ph but my only test is a liquid one for fish tank (that the only thing i found near from me and it worked until now :/)
i took a picture for you mayber you can have a better idea
