Hello everyone!
A quick question about making some 'real' changa; does anybody have any experience/advice on mixing 10x caapi with some extracted rue Harmalas? I did a harmala extraction a few weeks back (was very tedious, took me 8 days!) which I wanted to use for making changa / pharma, but I keep reading that using 10x caapi (or extract) is 'superior' for making changa (or many people prefer caapi harmalas to rue ones). So I used the simple method of making 10x caapi (boiled 10g caapi leaves down, filtered it, added 1 gram fresh leaves, evaporated the water, dried) and ended up with.. well, 2.85x changa (my 1g of leaves ended up weighing 3,5grams). I also put 10g of caapi in some ethanol and I'll let that soak for a month or so to maybe end up with some 'real' 10x caapi.
Anyhow, I was thinking now of making changa using my 2,85x caapi and adding a bit of rue harmalas (+ spice) to the mix. Now I know that my 2.85x caapi probably doesn't have a lot of harmalas in it so I'm fearful that adding the rue extract will 'overpower' it in some sense. On the other hand I'm thinking that 2.85x caapi alone won't provide sufficient MAO inhibition..
So how would you advice going about this? Should I take 1g of my 2.85x caapi and add a gram of spice and like.. 300-400mg of rue harmalas? Would that be sufficient?
