Music during trip

Migrated topic.

eventually someone will tell me to go eat some granola & shut up about it, but until that point i'm going to keep on trucking & recommend that, at least once, you check out Dark Star by the Grateful Dead on a hyperspace voyage... you will find it to be a very deep place, with many many angles to explore... don't allow any previous prejudices against the Dead to prevent you this glorious experience... those guys, they understood the journey you are going to take better than most, and dedicated their lives to creating comfortable musical spaces to take those journeys in...

lacking that, some Coltrane is always nice...

Agree 1000%

Trust me you will need more than 6 minutes of music.

Ya thats why I have a few of them so that it goes onto the next one when one finishes. Thinking about it though it would probably be better if that one i posted in particular was longer. The idea of the SAME song playing through the whole experience seems more appealing to me. Looks like youtube blocked the playback of the video on this site. i like it, very calm and relaxing. Seems a little more fast paced then I want to try yet. i still havent used any sound while leaving and I want to ease into it at first.

Yeah if you want to use youtube you can put them into a playlist. Altough I don't like the pauses during listening(from loading and changing songs), that's why I prefer "compilations"/mixes, there's plenty in youtube. You can find any kind of relaxing music there.

I like this guy's mixes for example:

imo its true that music does not matter while on a out there breakthrough, but it can provide a wonderfull launch off (maybee adjusting the direction?) and landing platform , especially when you made yourself familiar with it before (meditation, chilling

In my experiences as long as you can hear the music in hyperspace, it really matters and has a very noticeable effect to the nature of your trip.

Actually i use a youtube to mp3 program and just download them to my computer. That way i can put it on my iphone. No commercials that way and I can take it with me where ever I go. :)

Damn this got me thinking il need some native american music. that would make for very happy entities

I have an aunt who is hardcore native. She used to participate in sundance rituals (i think thats the name) she operated a large bass drum and kept the tempo for everyone else to follow. She said everyone would start seeing spirits floating around during these things. i want to talk her into drumming for me while i take DMT sometime, I think it would be awesome.

Anrchy. You should actually record her drumming (if she is ok with it) and post it here! I am sure most would be happy here to have access to such a magical experience.

I was in a trip with music on maybe a 15mg of white spice. It was soft music but for some reason I ripped the headphones off and sat up holding the headphones.
Before that I did maybe 7-10mg and CEV were stripes waving back and forth. Quite nice to see. Both experiences were with the same song.

Dude! Your a genius. I need to figure out the best way to get a quality recording. I will definitely talk to her about it.

For me, no music helps me get further, because music reminds me that I am still here on Earth and alive and stuff, but it can also be better on high doses because of those reasons, because if you start to get scared and think you may have somehow accidentally killed yourself, then the music might remind you that you must still be alive enough to at least hear the music ;)

I'm of the same opinion... anything that reminds me of reality holds me back, I feel, music, talking, light. However... AS SOON as I land I like some music...
